A few things

Maybe a lesson for everyone today inc mr moyes

Fellaini ACM doesn't mean we're unbeatable
Neville ossie CM is poor

If Gibson is not on pitch I think it's essential Fellaini plays deeper. Thankfully we'v signed another CM. I don't have the hatred of Neville and ossie as some do but they are both squadies IMO and if there playing together in cm in a tough game we have a problem.

Can't wait for a fully match fit squad still think a Gibson Fellaini CM partnership with pienaar Naismith and mirallas behind jelavic will be the most potent option we have.

Anyways maybe a early season reality check for our player that u gota be at ur best every game or that is what will happen!

Coyb!! Still very optimistic..

This. With bells on. Word for word, I agree.

1 -- When Anichebe comes on you know its all over.

2 -- Phil Neville should in no way be a starter

3 -- Mirallas should be on the right wing cutting inside

4 -- Naismith looks short of fitness

5 -- We need a right back

6 -- Hopefully FIFA clear the belgian

1- That's harsh. Anichebe had a good time against west brom last season and we needed a physical presence up top.
2- I agree
3- I can see him playing across the top, interchanging with the other players.
4- Yeah he looked drain today.
5- Coleman ffs
6- Sounds like he might be exactly what we need.

1. Haters gonna hate. We needed Anichebe's brute strength as we were being bullied by Yacob & Mulumbu.

2. 100% agree.

3. Could play either flank or a free role (which will never happen under Moyes).

4. Every time he goes into a 50/50 tackle you can sense him having flashbacks of previous injuries. He will hopefully overcome this with time.

5. What did we buy Coleman for? He might be naff at defending but good teams will double up on Baines & Pienaar down the left.

6. Let's hope what Kompany said about the boy is true!

Another thing that should be mentioned is that, apart from for the first 20 minutes or so, Leighton Baines was absolutely woeful today. The second half especially he was just terrible; he looked slow, dallied on the ball, misplaced passes galore, poor crossing, everything. I can forgive him for today because he's usually brilliant, but such bad performances can't go unmentioned. Hopefully the signing of Oviedo will push him and keep him on his toes and away from complacency.

I was also disappointed with Naismith, and being quite honest I am not sure if he's good enough anyway to be commanding a starting position for a top six Premiership team. He'll be useful from the bench, imo, but I am yet to be convinced by him. I'll give him until Christmas and full fitness though before writing him off.

To not test Ben Foster all afternoon is a crime. Terrible performance by the lads which takes the glory off us beating United, tbh.

I thought that the worst we looked all day was when we moved Pienaar to the right wing and Mirallas to the left wing as an inside forward who was looking to cut in and shoot. People have been complaining about Baines' performance today, but I thought he played pretty well until the Pienaar partnership was broken up. Also, Pienaar looked really really poor on the right with hibbo.

Mirallas should be on the right, his pace would stretch the oppositions full-back and with hibbert behind at least we have someone able to tackle behind him.

Obviously Coleman should be given a run at right back, something which most have been saying for ages but doesnt look like it will happen.

Anichebe'and 'brute strength' don't really belong in the same sentence.

Put Fellaini back into midfield. He's had his fun. Put him back.

Thanks.

One poor game from him (and everyone else on the pitch) shouldn't mean we can't still use him up there.

Changing and adapting to the game as it unfolds is what needs to happen. Not one of Moyes strongpoints though.

He should be in central midfield. If needs be then moyes can move him further forward during the game.

You know I've said that for a while. It's games like this where the that should be put to the test. The plan b.

Of course he can do a job up there. But it's not his best position, he's always gonna be hit and miss there, and for that type of position where he's the "focal point" its never gonna work all the time.
