This is the strange thing with Esk, his podcasting and financial blogging can be interesting and useful but he has to go further and act like he's "in the room" when he's not. He's not in a position to know whether Textor's interest is serious or not - he doesn't man Moshiri's switchboard, he couldn't know either way. So why make definitive statements about facts he does not know?

It's interesting that he's indicating a time element - that either those like Downing and Bell will be that keen to get control of Everton they wont want this to drag on, or that global investors are circling the club with a view to making an imminent swoop, which will come to soon for any firm interest from him.

How does expressing an interest in buying in to Everton weaken his negotiating strength re. selling his shares in Palace?
If anything he's using the media to establish the fact that his stake is for sale and he's serious about offers because there's another project he's interested in.
I just don't understand where Esk is coming from 99% of the time.
