That's probably the hope from the club side. Feels like a game of chicken, both sides know this deal is impossible but if there are penalty clauses neither side wants to officially pull it.

Although we all want to hear it's officially dead what Moshiri / the club are doing is probably sensible: let them unravel to the point they pull the deal (or have it pulled for them) rather than incur whatever penalties there are for us doing it.

There can be no realistic expectation from anyone involved that this could happen.
