I think their is a bit of mind games at play here ! He did a similar thing when he first joined Southampton after they had sold half the squad .
He tweeted a picture of an empty training ground and implied that he had a poor squad , if I remember correctly!
Southampton then went on to have a very good season !

They are at 70% of where Koeman wants them to be. He is a tough task master and wants a very high standard of fitness to play a higher energy pressing game. This year's 70% is undoubtedly way in excess of where the players were under Martinez and probably isn't too different from where Spurs and most clubs will be at for mid-August.

I'm at less than 1% physically ready. At least that's what my wife tells me after I collapse on her after a minute. Anyone know if Koeman/Kluitenberg have a workout video that can help? I'll also need a training montage with cheesy 80's music.
At about the 50 second mark, have you thought about switching to wife on top?
You could put a mirror on your ceiling (thus creating a 'personalised video')...as for music, what about Z Cars?

Martinez used to have fitness training with player having a ball at there feet. To improve the comfort of running with the ball. At that time I thought ok cool yeah I get it. Bt after a year I realised that they NEVER reached any superior level of fitness. They in fact were unfit. Martinez with a proper fitness coach would have done better.

I'm happy koeman instantly realised this nd focuses on fitness.

At least he is being honest, under Martinez we were not fit enough and regularly struggled with stamina in games.

Prefer this honest approach to last seasons everything is phenomenal shouts from Martinez.

What Koeman ment was that Barry, Mori, Bains, Coleman etc was 100%, but players as Kone, Mirallas, Besic and Robles was just 20% fit.

My wife is usually too occupied watching TV to even notice. Maybe that could work if I timed it for during commercial breaks.

Not sure if I want to combine sex and Z Cars. Funny things might begin to happen to me at the beginning of matches.

Supports what I was saying before Martinez went - I worry for Everton over the next year, regardless of manager because of our general lack of fitness. Performing at a very high professional level, there are tiny margins in fitness levels - and Everton will suffer this coming season, no matter how rigorous our new fitness regime is, purely because our squad aren't used to top quality conditioning. It wouldn't surprise me in the slightest if Everton fade badly after Christmas. It's like boxers who let themselves go between bouts - their fitness suffers when it comes to their next fight because their body isn't used to extreme fitness, and getting back to that level takes so much out of them.
