66 million debt?

there has been some consolidation of loans, a percentage of the total is levied against season ticket sales.

due to the new TV deal, lenders have been happy to sub some clubs extra cash as the means to repay the loans along with the sizable interest is there.

lets also consider that the players on the pitch have a dollar value, and there is no doubt in my mind that we have in terms of player value, possibly the greatest set of riches the club has ever had. (the holy trinity, golden vision, dixie, aside as the means to evaluate then and the money in the game now warp any fair comparison)

Like seasons 2004 and 2005, the numbers have been ‘helped’ by the profit on sale of assets – this year it is a £4M profit on disposal of player registrations.

Well that's a good start and quite a clear indication of where the rest of the analysis is going. "Our excellent figures have been helped by making loads of money *sigh*.

Unfortunately he only gives the headline figures without really any reasons why. Two things do seem stark though.

Firstly income from the stadium is going nowhere positive. Again one can only guess but it does seem as though the club aren't putting much thought into revenue generation at Goodison with new plans on hold until Kirkby.

Secondly expenditure on players is rising sharply, both on new signings and contract renewals. The contract extensions signed by AJ and Lescott recently, not to mention Cahill and Arteta will further underline that. In the last set of accounts published in public wages to turnover was around 65%, considerably higher than the 50% clubs aspire to.

So, as I've said it is difficult to read too much into the accounts without having them in full, but they do read more on the negative side than positive. The board have mentioned several times that we can't carry on like we are and maintain at Goodison and these kind of emphasise why that is.

I hate those friggin idoits over there.

They are as Uneverton as you can get.

Why are they Uneverton? Because they dare to question the current boards handling of the club?

One thing that drives me mad is when an Evertonians credentials are questioned because of their opinions!!! Be for/against the current board/new stadium/finances whatever, but don't **** off your fellow blues because you don't agree with them.

Burn em! He's a ToffeeWebber!!!! Burn em all!!!

Heretics!!!

U - N -E - V - E - R - T - O - N

We'll be Uneverton, and Uneverton forever!!!

The reason they are Uneverton is because all they do is bitch and moan. They never have anything good to say ever. EVER. They never have anything positive to say. Its all Kenwrights this and Moyes is that. Not one of them will acknowledge the good things theyve done for this club. They are everything thats wrong with our club and as far as Im concerned, they can support someone else, coz Im sick of em.

Its all fine and good when they are slagging people of, but I have a go at them and Im the boss Lyndon pulls my posts. I had a go at him too! Nothing personal of course, but Tony Marsh and his band of gerries can suck on my left nutsack. Did they laud the staff and the boys when we win? Do they toss. It all goes quiet until something else sets them off.

Did you see the harumf about the stadium graphics? It ranged from 'Oh my god Im going to commit suicide if our Stadium is next to some shops' to 'Lets start a Jihad on the whole board of Directors if I cant piss on our new Stadium from my front door'

Makes my blue bood boil to see such contempt from the guys that dont understand 'their' team have loyally staunch supporters that never have or never will set foot inside Goodison.

Like I said, I quit reading TW mailbag and opinion a long long time ago. Really made me wonder if they really supported Everton.

Nothing's perfect to be sure and there is always room for improvement but these guys make it sound like that there is nothing right with the club, nothing at all.

They then go out and try to defend their drivel with the inevitable, "Well we really support the club because we're questioning everything that goes on with it."

Like that's a prerequisite of being a true supporter, by being a cynic about all things Everton.

Don't miss it at all.
