I was just pondering about Sat's score , thinkig to meself that that was the second time I've seen visitors score 6 - Utd 75 , being the first , at Goodison . Then , a trip to Villa stripey kit (94 ???), Bob the Pole getting our two that day .
THEN , I thought of other mad ones ;
Losses ; 7-0 , I went to Highbury - me mate lived local . Mistake .
Victory's ;
9-0 , U.C.D. - En route to Euro glory . ( Though not evident after 1st leg . )
8 -0 , So'ton - The new scoreboard game - ( Bally's last Goodison Goal )9 ,9, 8, 8 ,9, 8, 7 , 9,.
8-0 , W'don - League Cup 79 .
7-1 , So'ton again 96 - this time , our Judas 11 . Speed and Barmby scoring a few .
6-0 , Latchford's 30 goals - Chelski put to the sword , and the second division .
6-1 ( ??? ) W Ham 98/9- Super Kev in full effect . Can't remember how many they got .
Also I recall as a boy Chelski away - We wore a full green kit . Think that was 6 . And I can remember clear as day , me Da' waking me up to tell me - another - Bally story ( ies ) , post we'd won 6-2 , I think , at W Brom ,he went . L.C.A.B. only netting the 4 times.

5's , due to their propensity , do not count , though , I have seen a few 4 - 4's .
Newcastle home . Watford Away .L'pool home .Leeds home .

My point is , this seems to happen fairly regulary . Thus , I'm hoping it holds no more significance than a freak result . Carry on regardless .

I much rather take a loss against Arsenal with 1-6 than a loss against Villa with 0-1.

Will perhaps sound strange, but I do. Arsenal isn't the team we should beat to get the 5:th spot, I don't think we will finish higher unless we get some players in with very good quality. The teams we should win against are Villa, Spurs, ManC and the teams beneath us. Yes, to improve we need to win against the top4, but without a creative midfielder and with a weak right side we won't.

On the defeats side I remember watching us lose 6-2 at Villa Park in the 89/90 season. It was live on the telly and I didn't half get some grief at school the next day. We did finish 6th that season though.

I think we put 6 past Southampton on the last day of the season in '86 when we finished 2nd...?

And we beat Sunderland 7-1 the other year.

Oh and 6 past SK Brann!

Hitch - hiked home from London , for the 1st one . Link's got a hat-trick . Some wag in the crowd said Lpool losing 1-0 ( It as the day Dalglish - Homosexual !!! - chipped the goalie at Chelsea to win the league .) Heartbreak Hotel .
As for So'ton and Brann , ... I remember the 70's but not last week ??!!??
What else is new . Good spot though .

I think Bob the Pole was a year later in a 2-2 draw. His second was when he pretty much ran the length of the field.

In the 6-2 game with the white and grey stripey kits, Cottee pulled it back to 6-1 and I forget who got the 2nd...

I'm going to try an find the progie . I lived in London then and had to go back there . Though , thats maybe why I got the year mixed - up . Coulda sworn that he scored 2 though .

Yeah he definately scored 2 at Villa Park but I'm almost certain it was a year later when we drew 2-2 in the yellow shirts.

I know Cottee got the first in the 6-2 defeat because I've got it on an old video.

I think it was bonfire night that too.
Might have been Beagrie's debut or first goal too.
That was the first game when I realised the good days had gone.

was gonna say that, we tonked 'em but had a game left against west ham for 2nd place, it was a sell out cos we either couldve won the league if the shoite had got beat, they browt ferrzands.

Not sure mate, I was only 5 at the time! I only know about this one through watching videos over the years. Was a couple more years until I was watching.
