6 + 2 Point Deductions

A lot of clubs do things differently to us as well. My mate's daughter was working in hospitality at both goodison and anfield at the time, Everton paid her during COVID because she was employed by Everton, however the RS outsourced their hospitality so she didn't get a bean off them (or the company providing the service).

We outsourced our hospitality decades ago for Goodison to Sodexo. It's Aramark now for the new stadium.

Wyness many years ago outsourced everything to save on the overheads.

Short term gains and bad deals is what we done under Kenwright.

Huge issue with us tbh, that Sasha guy was brought in too increase revenue streams but Kenwright/DBB rejected all of his ideas so he walked in the end.

I can’t wait for the day a club sues a referee or PGMOL if they get relegated following a blatant VAR bias or something.
That’s where this is all heading.

Villa may well have considered that based on the horror of a decision that went against them at the end of last season which cost them their CL place.

We got charged for period ending June 2021, 8 months before the invasion.
The first charge was for the period ending June 2022 and the second charge was for 2023.

So we forecast losses on the build before it started and the premier league accepted it???

The main reason for price rises for the build happened after the Russian invasion of Ukraine. The price rise of gas caused the energy prices to go through the roof and the price of Steel went high when supply from Ukraine was stopped.

That is not what I said at all, I said quotes would have changed, Unless you were living on another planet from March 2020 you would know full well that factories closed and when they reopened demand outstripped supply and drove up the prices, from late 2020 Freight transport hit record prices, The war in Ukraine further added to the problem but pre invasion, prices were shooting up... So do you actually think the PL accepted blag Covid losses to help us, but then ignored legitimate mitigation after that? Like I said I have no Idea what Everton put forward to the PL for Covid losses but Rising material and shipping costs due to pandemic related inflation would in my opinion be acceptable.. Us being the only club in the country building a new stadium at the time means that losses due the pandemic shouldn't be compared to other clubs.

Once again, construction costs don't count against PSR.

The increase in the build costs wouldn't have affected the 19/20 and 20/21 accounts when we claimed the Covid losses of 220 million.

I thought infrastructure costs were not factored into PSR?

They are not. Which is the funny part.

He seems to think the Covid losses which we had removed from the PSR number of 220 million could be due to the rising costs of the build.

2 things to note about it.

The build started after the reporting seasons of 19/20 and 20/21 which we claimed the losses due to Covid.

Plus, it would not show up on PSR as it was infrastructure costs.
