6 + 2 Point Deductions

No because we were still losing £100m+ per year when Usmanov wasn’t sanctioned.
But surely we wouldnt have needed all these horrific loans to fund the stadium?
If it were heading the way its gone, couldnt USM just paid for the stadium and rented it back to us, or some sort of scenario that hadnt crippled the club to this extent?

They would have signed a naming rights deal with USM that would have paid for it

Probably would've failed PSR but definitely wouldn't be at risk of going under imo

The opposite for me, sponsorships may have just about kept us within PSR but we’d be very much a distressed business at risk of going under the second Usmanov pulled the plug for whatever reason. Relying on the owner to write off £100m of losses every year was never a sustainable business practice and this was pointed out a lot of times by people on here.

It was never sustainable no, but I guess it depends whether you think he would've pulled the plug prior to stadium completion.

Building a football stadium in general isn't very sustainable for businesses, that's why most of the teams in world football don't bother doing it without public funding. The second BMD started we were in trouble. I just think without Russia invading, Usmanov would've seen it through or at least had a chance of getting a better buyer. The legalities of buying us right now are probably even trickier than Chelsea under abramovich. The media can't even say who really owned us without a nudge nudge wink wink

The usmanov money was all dodgy anyway - the way it was hidden via multiple sponsorships etc. using the Ukraine war as mitigation for losing out on our backhanded payments from Moshiri's puppet master is stupid and I'm not surprised we were laughed out of the room.

The thing that makes me angry is that we had become so, so reliant on this money. It's quite clear that Moshiri didn't have a clue what he was doing and needed his mates cash injections to keep us solvent long ago.

It’s not like it’s never happened before!

And the truth is… it needs to happen again, unless you’re up for relegation.

Relegation helps nobody, and Dyche’s dismissal isn’t as far fetched as some think imo. Some expenses are necessary, and I believe this to be one of them!

he’s not getting results should be legged

he’s not they’res 9 left so he’s not getting sacked

summer tho

But that was always the "plan". Usmanov owns Everton, not Moshiri despite his ridiculous public protestations to the contrary.

Let's face it, one wonders if 777 - whose offer really does not add up - is a cover for Usmanov retaining control.

It seems that the decision has already been made about this second charge and we're just waiting for the announcement.
I wonder if the penalty, if any, would be influenced at all by the loss at Bournemouth.
The fanciful thought occurred to me that they might be less inclined to give us a points deduction as we lost and didn't get any
points or fewer deducted than they perhaps had in mind.

I've thought that but I'm certain the men in black would have sussed it and called it out long ago.

Thought exactly the same as the game was being played mate.
