We might go close to 200m with the new stadium, but 10% won't be enough. We have to reduce it by 40-50m surely. Those 2 are about 20% of that.

These accounts also won't reflect departures of the likes of Mina, Iwobi and Gbamin last summer but even so a long way to go to get to a sustainable level. It's depressing that we've barely made a dent having trimmed so much fat off the squad, but when you look at numbers across the whole league and pyramid you wonder if football as a business is sustainable as things are. Footballers are simply paid too much money.

I think that's a combined loss of 640m over the last 6 years, yet the Premier League are to blame for this, picking on poor innocent Everton.

We've lost pretty much the same as Chelsea have for this period. I'll take our medicine when they take theirs.

Basically Moshiri and co didn’t bother to run the club as an actual commercial operation. We were just using dodgy sponsorship deals through Usmanov.

Now that we can’t fudge it using that we’re really suffering for it. Funny that we had the worlds worst accountant running us.

Has any financial nerds put together a shout at the level of our breach based on these accounts i wonder. Preferably not someone who assumed the mantle of Internet football finance expert in the last 18 months.

Someone will be able to work it back and give a good estimate based on previous years statutory loss compared to PSR losses in the IC reports, and now we can see how stadium interest affected the last few years, that will help. Will still only be an estimate however firmly they state their opinion so keep panic level to about 80%.
