It is essentially the 4 points they won by playing Johnson instead of selling him. So taking away those 4 points is the punishment for the sporting advantage they gained.

*shouldnt be, our reduction was due to errors in the initial judgement not any leniency on the sentencing.
Unless there’s errors in the PLs calculations, then theres no grounds for a reduction you would reason.
*however this is the EPL we are talking about.

It’s the minimum starting point not the absolute minimum sanction
