By social good he means the advancement of the big teams particularly Liverpool and United. Everyone else outside the top 6 is virtually irrelevant, just find 14 cannon fodder teams each season to fill the fixtures and its job done.
As an accountant, with historic experience of football accounting, I have to read innumerable dry technical, ethical, empirical articles as part of CPD requirements to remain a member of the Institute . Constantly. Every year for years.
I have never read, dissected and memorised anything to the depths you have read another clubs report from an independent commission. You aren’t wrong, and you post with care and decorum. But Christ almighty. Let Everton fans panic and make stuff up for their own wellbeing.
As not an accountant with no experience in football accounting I feel that we should be allowed to make serious financial accounting accusations about the club and the PL on a football forum, why shouldn't we jump to rash conclusions and make legal comments based on no knowledge whatsoever, after all this whole forum is filled with "experts" in virology, climate, Eastern European crisis, Atlantic deep sea submersibles, Australian Bush fires among many other fields of expertise..
I think if the original decision had been fully upheld an announcement would have been made by now. It appears they are pondering the impact of any changes that have been made, and how best to word any announcement so that they are not seen as being unfair previously. Good luck with that.
Shagger silk has them ing their pants. Any announcement has to be iron clad to save them getting sued to hell.
Best case for me is that Shagger has proven that P&S rules would be deemed illegal based on anti competition in a real court, and the PL are trying to figure out how to deal with the RS cryarsing when they find out that the whole P&S has to be binned and City get off the hook.
I guess Premier league are saying it has to start somewhere just as Administration became -10 at some point in the 90s? I'm not sure that was always the case as sometimes clubs like Maidstone and I think Aldershot went bust and just resigned from the league?
Only Portsmouth have ever gone into administration in the top flight for decades as with the money coming in it is near impossible but it happened to them and of course nearly the RS in 2010, think they were only a day or two away given Hicks and Gillett had run them into the ground.
When these new rules came in and charges started they should've communicated more clearly it would be a six point deduction if found guilty with then a sliding scale of increase penalty depending on the breaches. Unless as you say they just made it up on the spot which of course should be challenged....
Don’t start the rules and change the criteria mid season though. They have to give a start date which is mid season and all offenders dealt with before the season starts.

If Points deductions are going to be a regular occurrence now it needs to be dealt with during the summer.
Will be a complete farce Forest appealing the punishment they get. As this club also has the right to do if the second charge leads to a points deduction aswell.
I don’t believe anything any randomer on Twitter is saying
However, even though I’ve been vocal about us deserving all our points back, I think at this point I’d take minus six points and scrap the other charge just so we know where we are and can get on with doing what we need to do.
To be honest I am somewhat surprised that either the PL or the FA hasn’t charged us already but that suggests to me that the matters are far more complex than a PSR charge that or 1) the investigation is struggling to get confirmation from Chelsea’s records that will reach the burden of proof or 2) There are discussions on going re a settlement. If that’s so there will be significant mitigation
If we do get charged I would imagine that the charges will be more akin to incorrect submission of information and that probably would bring with it circa 10-15 points but as I pointed out the other day the most recent example of a club being charged and sanctioned for such a misdemeanour was Brighton who get a financial penalty largely mitigated because they self reported.

I haven't posted in ages on GOT, mostly because I've found out I'm not much for banter.
and also because, as a lawyer, the BluAnon stuff does my head in
However, I may be going on Bulgarian TV as a representative of the local EFC supporters' club soon and I wanted to ask something that may or may not have been discussed in the previous pages re: the second charge.
By now everybody and their mother is familiar with the '105 million over 3 seasons' loss limit. If you examine the actual PSR rules, though, the acceptable loss is actually only £15 million over 3 seasons. The £90m difference is only acceptable if it is covered by secure funding from the club’s owners taking on further equity (shareholding). I apologize if it has already been discussed and dismissed, but is it possible that the reason we are in trouble again is because Moshiri has been unable and/or unwilling to provide the money to cover the losses for the duration of the 2022/23 season and up to now?

Just to make it clear, I am discussing the second charge.
And from what I understand, Moshiri hasn't been funded the club since the Russian invasion. Otherwise, we wouldn't be in a position to beg for loans from Metro Bank/Rights & Media/MSP/777.
Since this is registered with Companies house, we can be pretty certain when debt is converted into equity. Last time this happened was January 2022 when Moshiri took on a further £100 million of shares in lieu of debt owed to him. And since this did not happen at all during the latter part of the period of the second charge, I think it is not unreasonable to think that while our loss may have been brought down to less than 105m over the three season period, the Premier League is not satisfied that the owner is able or willing to fund the club.

Can’t answer but have wondered the same re the second charge. 18/19 was a massive loss that dropped off the calculation and the trend in our results suggested 22/23 should’ve been a big improvement, and enough to take us back under.
