David Ornstein was on the pre-match of the American broadcast Monday and said that the deadline for deciding on Forest’s charge and our second change was early April, and the deadline for any inevitable appeals wasn’t until May 24, which is the Friday after final match week. So it’s entirely possible the relegation battle will be decided in some courtroom after the season has already ended, which is beyond farcical.

Yeah, this is the proposed timeline. Factoring in time taken to reach the appeal decision you are probably looking best case a couple of weeks after the end of the season. And with our first charge now dragging on and possibly delaying the second they are probably behind that schedule. I don’t know what the solution is but they have to find a way out of this.

Presumably there is a hard deadline for relegation to be finalised and if an appeal decision comes after that it’s an almighty mess that’s likely going to the courts.
