6 + 2 Point Deductions

We dont owe the PL anything. Its clear they want us down and are doing everything to make it happen based on the evidence to hand (imo)

In our current financial position it would not be feasible however if we weren't strapped for cash I would respect Everton a great deal more in burning the place to the ground. If Sky dont want to show Burnhams interview - then let them miss out on the Merseyside Derby. Let the bookies lose a ton on betting, let the pundits and politicians question how has the "best" league in the world gotten to the point where one of its founding members is boycotting in an unprecedented manner.

At some point if football is going to be saved then someone needs to take a stand even if they take a kicking in the short term.
Seek help.

Or we can fight them in the courts, fight for points on the pitch and stick a big massive 2 fingers up to them as we remain a Premier League team.

I prefer my way, but I admire your desire for mayhem.

You mean the Kangaroo Court that is definitely independent to the PL (even though the punishment was leaked to the press and mirrors the PL's suggestion).

Good luck with that !

If they were out to screw Everton over, there'd be no value in the commission saying they didn't use the formula, then actively using the formula. They'd just use the formula. Sorry mate, it's a moronic argument.
The formula would calculate at 10 points. They decided on 10 points without reference to the formula. I'm not buying it.

BTW, I did not make any reference to them being 'out to screw us'.

They could be out to screw Everton over if:

they used the formula and said so
didn't use the formula and said so
used the formula and didn't say so
didn't use the formula and didn't say so

They could also not be out to screw Everton over and any one of the above be true, as it is unrelated to intent and a meaningless connection

telling someone they are making a moronic argument when your own makes no sense is a bit rich

I'm not sure many would lose any sleep about us tbh
Most of the comments I read online about this are in relation to City's charges.
If they didn't have that hanging over them we'd barely get a mention

I hope City win everything for the next 10 years to wind up the other cartel clubs that rigged the game in the first place

I can easily see this ending up in the courtroom. The double jeopardy of being punished twice for the same offence cannot be constitutional.
I think this is where we are going. The PL contract says we can’t sue them but the law of the land is paramount, you can’t contract out of it- if they act unlawfully we can absolutely go to court. If necessary we seek an injunction that could prevent next season even starting, and they need to be very careful to prevent that happening. At this point the best move for all concerned is to negotiate a settlement with us and Forest to let matters on the pitch decide things.
