Ralphie Boy
Player Valuation: £8m
Released at the end of his contract, letter off Everton after first 10 points states tha Prem said we can’t play him.Sure I read that the commission felt we should have released him. Not sure where I read that tho

That’s the whole reason for a rolling period though; one bad year (or year where you decide to spend big) and you can supposedly be frugal the next two years. Sort of makes sense if the rest of the framework wasn’t stupid. You can’t start from zero. But there should be a mechanism that lets you get back to compliance over a couple of years rather than expecting you to sell every single player and sack all staff. Is there not an argument that once charged for breaching the 3 year average that the whole period should start again? I mean, one disastrous season financially for any club could get you charges for 3 consecutive seasons

Also the championship want the parachute payments abolished, what the odds this happens when we go down this season.
I think, and I could be wrong (just ask the wife), is that Chelsea have amortised the players over 8 years. i.e they have given players 8 year contracts so they can spread the cost over 8 years within the accounts.I just dont understand how Chelsea have not been charged. My back of the packet calculations from their published results say that they needed to make a profit of over a 100m in the last accounts to only loose 105m. I dont understand why it is so quiet with them.
Yes and they changed the rules to 5 years because of thisI think, and I could be wrong (just ask the wife), is that Chelsea have amortised the players over 8 years. i.e they have given players 8 year contracts so they can spread the cost over 8 years within the accounts.
Yeah I understand the rolling 3 years, however for teams like us that don't have massive revenues if we wanted to spend big in one season we would need to spend nothing for two seasons spend big then spend nothing for a further 2 seasons, it completely hamstrings the business if you have the money to grow. That’s the whole reason for a rolling period though; one bad year (or year where you decide to spend big) and you can supposedly be frugal the next two years. We only found out first investigation found us guilty AFTER the next accounting period had finished, so didn’t have the chance to make a corrective behaviour. Thats just unfair.
(Realistically we would have known full well if we didn’t get through the first investigation, we’d automatically fail this time too.)
We won't hold our breath waiting for that.Oh we have errors for which we will be held to account for of that there is no doubt
Its why it annoys me when people say 'keep politics out of football'Got Saudi states that cosy up to Putin and funding bomb runs in Yemen whilst having shocking human rights records and a distain for women, owning premier clubs who self sponsor to overinflate commercial income.
You have American consortiums creaming and making billions from a successful institution they bought. Finding loop holes in billion pound transfer dealings by putting players on 8 year contracts.
Both then join forces to fleece FFP rules but offloading players to Saudi for overinflated prices.
We build a stadium and fund it in an arse backwards way...and we're the bad guys in this premier league tale?
It won't, but on the other hand Chelsea are stuck with players on 8 year contracts who they have massively overpaid for. They aren't qualifying for Europe for the 2nd year running, and they're running out of home grown players to sell. Big problems in store for Chelsea IMO.Yes and they changed the rules to 5 years because of this
So nothing will ever be done about it
Since they were introduced hence the term "3 year rolling period" which becomes 4 with the 2 COVID years. So the PL accounts run year 123, 234, 345 and not 123, 456. When did this come into play?
