6 + 2 Point Deductions

David Ornstein there

I actually though that the stadium naming rights is an easy one to prove, IF you have details.of conversations taking place.

It will be difficult now to shake the name of BMD for the stadium, the club are now trying to do it by calling it the fourth grace, or Everton stadium, but if a business wanted to opportunity to have its name forever associated with a new stadium, what batter to way to call the construction phase by that name. If a company what's that, they'd need to pay for it.
Yes….it’s about having proper governance - we seemed to be having regular chats about things that aren’t properly documented yet we tried to rely on these events as mitigating evidence

Let's have the context to that: Everton's ability to get interest paid on stadium loans was, half way through this assessment period, changed from not included in FFP to being included in FFP. That was down to the PL. If Everton got creative on the stadium sponsorship then it was to offset the rug being pulled from under them regarding the stadium and FFP dealings. And in any case, bringing forward that sponsorship deal: how could the PL commission determine that wasn't the case other than by having a completely prejudicial view of Everton's intentions in that respect.

Bottom line here: don't be doing our enemies dirty work for them. Put your thinking cap on and look at every dimension to this in the round.
No one who makes a decision on this is scrambling for arguments against us by reading this forum 😄. My thinking cap was on….you may think otherwise. I think we can all agree that the points deduction was unnecessarily severe.

Fair play to Neville, Carragher and Keane to an extent.

They are effectively calling the PL corrupt, unmanageable. Im sure their employers won't like their main product being talked about in such a way
To a degree.

However, they know they have a role to play: the overwhelming majority of fans in the PL don't trust the Pl and someone has to represent that view. But they'll talk about reform rather than dismantling it and replacing it. The only solution.

Neville wins easy.
I'd star taking Neville seriously if he ever came out and said: "We have to replace the PL with a new organisation. The present one is not fit for purpose. Everything fades away and with all its issues now has come the time for the PL to leave the stage."

He won't though; he implicitly defends it.
