Selling the women’s team is a bit of a low act though isn’t it
I tell you what was a low act trying to make us vanish as a football club simply to avoid regulation.

We thanked them for the 6-point deduction that we were given.Premier league will never ever be forgiven for what they tried to do to us. I won’t anyway the bunch of scumbags.
I wish we had the fight and balls to go for them in a proper court of law and not that kangaroo joke of an episode they called a trial.
NFL and even the NBA are great models for every team to have a chance of success during their window of opportunity.Sadly I really can’t see this happening.
The PL is semi scripted now with 5 “big” clubs in an almost closed shop. I think Spuds are top of the rest.
I view it more like a Hollywood movie. You have your A list stars and they will always save the world. It is what the audience want to see. Tom Cruise will always accomplish Mission Impossible. No real money in him not.
Likewise the PL and media, who are in it for the money and aren’t football fans, want the “superstar” clubs, in terms of fans and money earning potential, to win things. Sadly there is no real money in Villa, Newcastle or Everton winning.
The reaction to viewing figures being down will be interesting. First are these viewing figures domestic or global. I really do see English interest dropping as most people support local teams and don’t want to see the same teams win. They don’t have that level of interest in the few clubs, we are repeatedly told by SKY & BBC employees, Spitty, Neville etc ,are the best.
Globally I suspect it will be different. I watch NFL. I can watch any team as I just don’t have the historical baggage of supporting one team all my life where as I really can’t watch any other PL game that does not include Everton. I refused to watch this year’s Anlfield Derby as the whole media narrative was so against Everton.
Globally fans, can watch the “big “ teams and for obvious reasons have no real connection to any one. so having a few main actors helps the narrative.
I suspect the PL want City & Chelsea to do really well in the Club Cup, which will be global, with almost zero interest in the UK. Let them spend what they want and get competitive for next season to boost the interest.
It is a global party and sadly I don’t see a real invite for Everton anytime soon if ever.
We are still talking about PSR compliance and certain aren’t even pretending it exists for them anymore.
Fortunately, however, the “We” that meekly objected and said thank-you is no longer Everton. We’re a different “We”, now.We thanked them for the 6-point deduction that we were given.
They're terrible examples because a team in Kansas City can compete with a team in New York because of the salary cap. And in both leagues, young talent is distributed through a draft where the worst teams get preference over the best teams.NFL and even the NBA are great models for every team to have a chance of success during their window of opportunity.
Kansus City Chiefs were a nothing franchise until Patrick Mahomes was the quarterback teaming up with Andy Reid as Head Coach. They have won 3 Superbowls together and compete every season. Eagles have won 2 Superbowls in last 10 years. The Rams won a Superbowl. Teams with losing regular season records can completely turn it around in a year or two.
In the NBA both OKC and the Pacers went from winning around 25 games a season from a couple of years back to just playing in the Finals.
Soooooo much more enjoyable for fans of all teams as opposed to just the usual suspects like the Premier League.
The enjoyment from Premier League teams is arguably from playing in Europe and any domestic cups. The league itself is gash and unenjoyable as it's a closed shop for around 75% of those involved.
We thanked them for the 6-point deduction that we were given.
We didn't, our owners and board of Directors thanked them.
Maybe I didn't convey my point properly. They're terrible examples because a team in Kansas City can compete with a team in New York because of the salary cap. And in both leagues, young talent is distributed through a draft where the worst teams get preference over the best teams.
Forest would be a good example last year. But just like with Leicester when they won the league, at what cost?
