"cannot be quantified" is the language to rely on. They don't want to get into discussion of how much sporting advantage was gained as that is subjective and hypothetical. Even though we only stayed up by two points last season, saying without our excess spend we wouldn't have got those two points is still quantification.

And that’s our issue really - if we had been sat comfortably mid table 15 points clear this wouldn’t be so much an issue but just two points is far more easily reachable / quantifiable

I just cant see how suing the club could be proven as the reason another club dropped. I may be wrong, but plenty of clubs have been done for financial stuff over the years. I cannot recall a single time other clubs have sued for recompense. Did Celtic sue Rangers for half a dozen SPLs? Or Juventus by other Italian teams?

Not a good example. Those guys were/are the ultimate fraudsters. And that includes Silvio's Milan with Pippo Inzaghi.

Sure, but given the language used it at least gives us a strong argument against ANY attempt to quantify the advantage, even if it's two points, when they've said they cannot do so.

For what it's worth it seems clear as day to me that the 10 points already has the appeal priced in. They can't genuinely believe its a 10 point offence but they know whatever that gave will be reduced on appeal so went silly-large.

It will definitely be reduced, my bet is to 5 + 5 suspended.

You can. Players' contracts have clauses that allow clubs to sack them. Look how quickly sponsors drop sportsmen who create negative publicity. As soon as he was suspended by the FA then we had the right to dismiss him because he could not fulfil his contractual obligations.

We then have the right to retain his registration until his original contract expired.

You can't sack an employee and keep their contract. Just read it back.
