Wigan tried that with relegation and the FA cup and we know what happened to them!

So considering everything that a player trying to get a new contract says in the media is 100% true as everyone knows, let's just drop him and Eto'o. Write Stones off because he's said he'll be back around Christmas so obviously we won't see him again this season and let's put a defence out that would concede at least 16 goals per game. Lets just ignore the fact that even though it's very unlikely we some how won our next five games we'd probably be in the top 5/6. I know we've been playing badly but what the bloody hell is the point in giving up the whole season in December?! Jesus Christ it's like we've turned into them lot. Two away losses to decent teams and a home draw due to fatigue where our first half performance should've won us the game anyway? Bit of rest now and we'll be flying again soon enough.

not the way half of this league has been playing this season. as newcastle showed, string 3 or 4 wins together and you're at the opposite end of the table. we're clearly not going to be struggling at the bottom, so looking at it that way is kind of irrelevant. that's comparing it to teams who will take about 10 games to gain 8 points total as well.

I don't see how you can say we won't be struggling at the bottom with any certainty.

Seriously....at the moment I am struggling to see where the next win is coming from.

I think we will improve all right.....but after that display against Hull I wouldn't bank on it
