I guess it's a sign of our development as a team that we no longer breathe a sigh of relief as we pass the 40 point mark and realise we've staved off relegation for another year. These are happy days indeed!

Yup a good indicator of the belief withing the squad that most of them will not have even acknowledged this but taken it as a given.
Real blow dropping 2 points against BBurn though. That could really be telling at seasons end with Liverpools game in hand.

It's good that we now regard the results against both Spurs and Blackburn as dropped points, despite the loss of so many players to our squad at the moment.

I didn't notice we were safe till we were up to 42 points. This season is the first season I haven't immediately realised it.

Even in the season when we finished fourth, I remember thinking "ah past 40, we can relax"
