I just don't fancy sitting around wearing the glasses that come with it.

I'm thinking of a projector screen for the living room. Anyone got one at home?

Now that is a good idea. No way to beat a projector for size. Problem is you need a really dark room to be able to watch properly, so they aren't really practical for a living room do-it-all tv. They are an extravagance for a home theater. But there is nothing like watching a movie on a 100" display!!!!

I watched Arsenal vs Liverpool in 3d. The normal camera angles, it doesn't add much. If anything it takes away, and HD is probably better then having shades on that takes away from the overall picture. But sometimes it looks cool. Like when you get close ups which have other players in the background. Or when the Sky logo pops out at you. Overall though I'd probably prefer HD to 3d for football. Though Man City vs Everton I will watch in 3D in September just for the **** of it.

Had to chuckle at you said "the sky logo pops out"

All that money in the hope of seeing a logo

I still have my TV that I got eight years ago next month. It's mad really, because unlike flat screens etc. I can still watch the damn the thing when the sun is shining through the windows. Also, the bulb in the back doesn't conk out every year.

HD tellys have got better over the last six months so I might get one, but I'll never ever buy the "first" of whatever comes out TV-wise - like those 50'' monsters they had Makro etc. a few years ago.
