I can't add the google authenticator as a 2fa method, every single code i enter is refused as correct, despite it being correct...

Bah humbug - to turn off the snow, visit your preferences and select a style that isn't Christmas.
It now works, was a time issue - had to sync the server with an NTP server.

You can - I disabled it about 15 minutes ago and logged a server support request because I couldn't either.
That's right - I locked myself out my own forum.
