Who were they, what did they do, where did they come from and where are they now?

If anyone has the new strip they will notice the hat tipping recognition that is given out to the boys of the 84/85 season - which we are in the middle of the 25th Anniversary.

Does anyone really remember? We do have some younger members who may not understand fully the impact these players had on 30 something fans and above.

Here's a recap.

Great post Ghost, will have a look at the vid later on.(y)

The team with who it all started for me.

Yes, I'm a chosen one!

Cheers mate, thought I would go out with a bang.

Other notable players in that season:

Adrian Heath, Mark Higgins, John Bailey, and I believe Kevin Richardson.

at the time they used to say that kendall had taken a team of unknowns to names that even housewives knew. to break the r/s stranglehold on the title was a major achievement, in the year between our titles we were beaten by a r/s team that i reckon is the best i've seen them have, we pushed them right to the limit when nobody else could compete with them and then the year after we claimed the title back.
unfortunately with no european football on offer, we were raided in particular by glasgow rangers, which is why i dont really think too well of them.
the players will say that they never thought they would get beaten, if they were trailing then they knew they would come back and win.
well it felt like that for us as well !!

every Evertonian old enough will tell you they used to be there every week in those days, but in reality, if you look at our attendances at that time you will see different, 86-87 was the last time i'd had a season ticket so i know i was. i don't know why i never renewed though ? probably blew all my money in the greek islands or on the all new castlemaine xxxx or somethin.
