Spurs 2 Barca 2. Barca won on pen. Two B teams. Watched the highlights earlier to see how our panoply of new signings performed. Nothing to report.

People pay big money just to see the players up close. We take it for granted here but for fans abroad it's a big thing.
Correct. Chelsea have just played Perth Glory and 55,000 turned out to watch it. They had Fabregas, Luiz, Alonso, Barkley and a bunch of reserves that even Chelsea fans haven’t heard of.

Yep,seems right i think,as someone on here, were ever it is,posted a report saying they get 20 million, plus extras etc for how many is in the crowd and so on,report was last years one [post 3]
I remember reading about Chelsea and the RS both played in Sydney against local opposition days after 2016-2017 season finished and got over 10 million quid each.

We really need to get our international profile up as it can be quite a lucrative revenue stream, appearance fee,cut of the tickets and merchandise sold seems easy money for the club.
You two both have a tendency to not leave a space after a comma. Are you the same person?

Narrowly avoided a big traffic jam on my way home just now. 80,000 glory hunters who have spent $200 each for 10 minutes of Messi and 5 minutes of Suarez and 15 minutes of whoever people want to see from Roma. Idiots.

Why are they idiots? Don’t let it bother you what other people are willing to spend to watch some football. If we were playing would you have paid? There’s still be plenty that would have if not, would that make them idiots too? Leave people be.

any of your youngsters likely to break through this season you think?

Poch has been talking up Luke Amos but the one to watch is 17yr old Oliver Skipp. This kid really could be the real deal. Has a very similar style of play to Modric & it wouldn't surprise me to see him make an appearance in some League Cup games.

And Tashan Oakley-Booth. Those three along with K W-P who got some minutes last season. CCV is back in the fold at CH but not convinced he is a top 6 player (hopefully i'm proved wrong).
what about Winks? Is he likely to play a lot (if fit enough)?
