This is why it's important to buy now and not deadline day

For many many seasons now we've been unfit and been poor at the start of the season. Last season was an improvement in our start but these first six are imperative to top four aspirations.

Fans being priced out over Christmas, say FSF
The Football Supporters’ Federation has accused the Premier League of pricing fans out of games over Christmas and the new year.
The announcement of the top-flight fixtures for the 2017-18 season yesterday immediately drew anger from the FSF, which said it was unrealistic to expect supporters to be able to afford to attend what it described as a “glut” of fixtures between November 25 and January 1.
During that time, each team will play ten matches. Two seasons ago, clubs played seven league games in that period.
“Inevitably, some fans will have to make hard choices with regards to attending matches,” the FSF said. It pointed out that Newcastle United fans will have to travel 2,484 miles, including three trips to London, during that period.
The Premier League said that it had shortened the season in an attempt to help Gareth Southgate, the England manager, prepare for the 2018 World Cup. “This is a painstaking process that lasts almost half a year and involves scheduling 2,036 matches across the top four divisions in England,” Glenn Thompson, the fixture compiler, said.
Tottenham Hotspur will host Chelsea in their first league game at Wembley on the second weekend of the season, with Chelsea starting their title defence at home to Burnley the week before while Spurs visit newly promoted Newcastle.
José Mourinho, who criticised the scheduling of Manchester United’s fixtures last season, can have little quarrel with his team’s start. United begin at home to West Ham United before travelling to Swansea City. They then have home fixtures against Leicester City, Everton and Crystal Palace, as well as away games against Stoke City and Southampton. Their first game against a top-six side is away to Liverpool on October 14.
One disappointment for Mourinho is that United will play five games against one of last year’s top six either directly before or after their Champions League group games.
If Manchester City, who start away to Brighton & Hove Albion, reach the Champions League quarter-finals, the two legs will be bookended by trips to Everton and Spurs, with a home derby against United in between on April 7. The first Manchester derby will be on December 9, the same weekend as the Merseyside derby at Anfield.

We could easily be rock bottom by September 16th...
