2012 FA CUP FINAL

It's the Champions Final that forced the change last year, something about all cup comps etc having to be over so that CL is the end of season showpiece.

I was in Italy and the day after the CL Final Inter played Palermo (is it them in pink ?) in the Italian Cup Final, so seems we are allowing them to push us around again.

Bit by bit, tradition by tradition, year by year they are destroying the Cup. I'm 46. I remember the last era of the Cup in its heyday and it is so reduced it is unbelievable. 29,000,000 watched Leeds V Chelsea in 1970. somethinglike 6,000,000 watched us against Chelsea a couple of years ago. Sums it up.

Let's be honest its the only major trophy we can aim at until the finances radically change so I'd love to win it but it is not what it was.

I believe last season the FA cup final had to be played early to ensure there were 2 weeks between the last match played at Wembley before the Champs League final.

All this tv coverage has gone too far and is designtaed totally to the armchair fan.
The people (fans) that matter are the ones who are inconvenienced by all these ridiculous changes re League games.
Sky dictate football without giving a toss that people are booking transport, accomodation in advance then not being able to get a refund on their bookings when the fixture has been given another tv slot.
It's about time a governing body took our gripes into consideratiion and bring the game we fell in love with back to the way it was and fill stadiums to their capacity.
Will sky be showing games in ten years time to stadiums virtually empty?

This in bucket loads, oh, and rep on the way
