How are Rodwell and Fellaini anything like Stokes players? They are nothing like stokes players in central midfield so I'm quite lost on your point if you're comparing player types.

The formation is (quite rightly) nothing like Stokes.

I have no idea where you have the stoke comparison from. It makes no sense to me.

The similar concept behind the formations is that you have one defensive player, one player sitting and one attack minded in the 3. The interesting piece is that Fellaini and Rodwell can interchange between either sitting\defending...which makes the team unpredictable in comparison to the other examples.

The key component is to have an exciting player in front of them which maay end up being barkley although currently would be arteta or cahill.

Okay, I'm out. Welcome to the forum and hoping to have some interesting discussions in the future, but your side would end playing very physical and quite awful to watch football (especially when it would be Cahill ahead of Fellaini and Rodwell or true DM behind them), so if you don't see it, there's nothing we have to discuss about. Have a good day.

I'm 101% lost on how Fellaini and Rodwell are "very physical and quite awful to watch"?

Personally I think they are fantastic cultured players. I would not have cahill in front of them, in fact I would rather go for an exciting young talented attacking midfielder -- I would also have 2 fast exciting wide players come in slowly either side of them.

I think that would be an exciting side. However it seems like mentioning selling cahill or arteta is like blasphemy on here (despite neither actually being 'that' good...so if those 2 are kept its unlikely we have cash for any top attacking players (maybe 1) so wed be left with cahill until barkley is ready.

Hiya mate.
I do not think it is blasphemy talking about getting rid of Arteta and Cahill. Many have been saying the same on here if you have time to go through all the old threads.
It is just that we do not do radical overhalls, it is simply subjective as whether it is the right or wrong thing to do.
The most likely scenario and the reality is that very little will happen!

Greet.

To be honest I would be more than happy to see someone like Barton come in and instill some drive in our side. He could play right midfield and allow coleman to overlap (same as baines with arteta on the left). However if that was the case then Moyes would find somewhere for Pip and Cahill to play meaning we wouldn't have any fast players in midfield. Also would still need 2 more attacking forwards.

I don't know why moyes can't see the obvious sometimes.
