Still seems like yesterday
Whilst last weeks game seems like years ago. I think it’s called senility

For those of us, of a certain age, these were halcyon days indeed.

Having gone through the Bingham and Lee years, the success of the mid eighties were just amazing.

;)

But it did end and not by any fault of our own.

Remember that

Indeed my friend, it was a tragic turn of events and underlines how cruel the game can be. My old man used to talk about the Gypsy curse and I do sometimes wonder. The fantastic 1969/70 team, which I was too young to watch, fell apart very quickly when they were expected to kick on and dominate for the next few years and we all know what happened next, but the mid 1980's were glorious and no finer moment than Sharpie at Anfield.

Xmas 83 and getting trounced 3-0 to bottom of the table Wolves followed up by that drab 0-0 game at home to Coventry , then the Stoke game in the cup.
The rest is history.
Brum away I think maybe week before Stoke two nil win,not often spoke about but a big,big win at that time,i went and I'm sure we wore brums away kit,RED shirts, please correct me someone!!

I did every home game bar one. The 5-0 against Utd as it was my Dads second wedding. He has never been truly forgiven.

Took me mam and ex wife to that one. Also a young 10 year old just out of Alder Hey. Little t*** ended up a RS

I don´t care if I wasn´t born for another 5 years, this is up there with my favourite ever goal. The reaction on the Street End is brilliant.

Jealous of all you buggers who got to see this. What a time to be alive hey.
