“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Very few thought he would do that, no matter how much he would have wanted the job, and for two main reasons, it would damage his reputation for any future club after us and in the media, and Watford could ultimately just block him from joining if he did resign which would leave him sitting not working and unable to take this job anyway.
You honestly think Watford would pay him to sit out his contract while paying another manager? In the real world if he'd come out and said he wanted to join us and a fee for him would have been sorted out.But he didn't.

Other clubs have done exactly that with managers mate, so yes they quite possibly would have, Silva obviously wasn't going to risk it being a bluff based on the word of davids on GoT though maybe :)

Think your just going to have to get used to the fact that Allardyce is our level at the moment, stop dreaming of what might/should have been and get behind him and the team.

I am behind the team, doesn't mean I'm supporting Allardyce mate.
It's a simple as, if he fails we fail.So getting behind him seems a good idea. But in saying that he seems thick skinned enough so I'm sure he'll get on with his job regardless of your not backing him.

Well you're behind him by default then, seeing as he's managing the team.

and by default everyone calling for Martinez and Koeman to be sacked where actually behind them as they still supported the team mate, or in fact anyone Supporting Everton and wanting them to win are de-facto supporters of Kenwright.

Alternatively you can be both for Everton and against the current manager :)

I was behind Martinez and Koeman until it was clear they didn't have a clue and were dragging us down. After that, I still would have much preferred them to turn it around than the team continue to be terrible, so you could say I was always behind them.

Sam Allardyce has been here for a week.

At which point when you realsied that mate, did you suddenly stop supporting the team?

Because unless you did you've just contradicted yourself massively from about two posts earlier.

Yeah Allardyce has been here about a week or so, but he has been in football a damn site longer and not supporting him has zero to do with the style of his play, it's to do with the man himself - should never have been allowed to become manager of this club, but oh well, hope the lads perform well AND hope that come the summer we kick Allardyce out the club :)

You're not supporting Allardyce for ethical reasons? That's very noble of you mate, but we have a player that is a convicted drink driver whose name you probably sing every week so swings and roundabouts.

As a club we have a supporter base with very different opinions on Allardyce, but like it or not once he was in place you can't really seperate the two.If he's kicked out in the Summer then it'll be because as a club we have ended up either relegated or that we have had a very lucky escape that was out of our hands.I'm pretty sure he'll have negotiated a clause that if we stay up in a decent position he gets an extension.I do understand your dissapointment,I'd have loved us to have been in the position to have the pick of top young managers but until we start challenging for Europe on a regular basis it'll just stay a dream. As mentioned earlier in the thread about the Gordon Lee appointment lots of the fans first reaction like mine would have been "who"? and yet his team played some decent stuff. And if your your dissaproval is basedl purely on the rumours of bungs....they are just that, rumours.Chelsea seemed happy with Conte when he won them the title, and as a club we've employed ex-cons,wife beaters and drunk drivers in the past so in context Allardyce is clean.

I hope Allardyce fails because I never wanted him and I want to be proven right so I can brag to all my fat arse lager lout mates who have dead end jobs and live for football and football only.

There is the world of difference between a player making a mistake and a serial cheat. I want Sam Allardyce to bring stability and success to the club, but I won't spend a minute of my life at the club whilst he is manager.

it does not mean I don't support Everton, but I won't attend and support Allardyce at all. It is not that difficult to understand. Also, I am well aware that the only person who is affected by this is me, as I miss my football team already and I have only avoided one game.

Some of you don’t want your new manager to succeed! Mushes you really break the mold on crazy!

I don't want our new manager to be involved in football due to his fraudulent behaviour within football. Just as I wouldn't buy a sat nav endorsed by Wayne Rooney.

Crazy is dropping any ethical standpoint on the basis that it would mean going against your football club. Kinell, what would you do if Jimmy Saville came back from the grave to manage your team. Get behind him? Better than him being behind you, granted, but still...

I'm not watching Everton until Allardyce is gone from the club.
