“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

I won't be stopping going on moral grounds (I might stop going at the end of the season simply because I think this appointment just screams out that we have no intention of being anything other than an also ran, and I don't know how much longer I can cope with throwing money down the drain if the board have no ambition) but I just don't understand why people feel the need to snipe at those who will be. Whatever your reasons, and whether I agree with them or not, fair play to anybody who takes a stand against the way football is now.

Msb stands for ‘most saturated bedsheets.’

If I'm a bed wetter for having moral principles, then so be it. Easy to play about with a name when no-one can make anything out of yours .... frankly the only person I have to be bothered with in all this, is me. So many thanks for your most unwelcome input, but I'll remain true to myself thanks. Wet mattress and all.

If people decide to give it a rest for a bit because of his alleged shady dealings then I for one totally respect that decision. You both have a far stronger moral compass than me, I feel it is a slippery slope as we have had players arrested for various misdemeanors in the past, where do you draw the line?

I would only think it wasn't on if people chucked it all in due to the type of football Allardyce plays or due to his character. (the not illegal part...)
I can only speak for myself mate but I don't particularly believe I'm taking the morally high ground here. His shady dealings are probably quite low on my list of reasons why I think he's unsuitable to be manager of Everton. In fact I hate the way the media set up people like this, and had it happened to anybody other than Allardyce, I probably would have been outraged.

If I sat down and really thought about it, I could probably quite easily come up with at least 20 reasons why he shouldn't have been appointed. A lot of it is down to my personal dislike of the man and that goes back years, but I do genuinely also believe that he will leave this club in a worse place than when he joined, difficult as that may be to imagine.

My anger is not at Allardyce though. Not yet anyway. I'm sure I'll be looking for things to blame on him as is the norm with these things. My anger is with the Club management for allowing us to get into the position whereby appointing this guy is acceptable to so many of our fan base. The last 20 years or so have been a series of disasters, on after the other, but just as we start to believe again that the good times just might be on the way back, to get the kick in the teeth we've had this season culminating in this appointment.

This is my lowest ebb in 50 years of supporting Everton mate and I'm trying to find things to laugh at otherwise I would literally break down. For me personally, now is the time to take a stand against the club management, and the only way I can do this is by stopping going to the game, at least whilst Allardyce & Co are at the helm. Won't make any difference this season as my ST has already been paid for, and a mate of mine will still go to the game in my place. But I won't be renewing if things stay as they are. Everton is still part of me though and I want them to win every time they take to the pitch. In fact, it's because the club means so much to me that the whole thing has upset me so much.

Which is why I don't take kindly to people on here standing in judgment, especially as they don't know me from Adam. I'm not telling anybody else how to react. I can't believe there's so many fans that welcome his appointment but I don't judge them on it.

Hopefully it will be a shortish period in our history to get over, just becareful with your ST else you might not get in to see the final game at Goodison which would be a shame. (I doubt Allardyce will still be here by then unless we start winning stuff)

The way I see it is sometimes you have to go back to go forward, if we can get a strong defensive structure and then get soneone who can add a bit of flair then hopefully we might do what we did in Bobby's first season. Don't think anyone is really happy but least we are not in limbo now.

Just out of interest, the people who are staying away, how would they feel if BFS won one of the cups and finished in the top ten? I know his shady past makes anyone cringe, but I keep reading what a great motivator he is, and he's got a far higher quality squad at his disposal than the other clubs he's managed previously.

TBH mate I'm not even looking past this season at the moment.

There's so much wrong with this Club and it's not just restricted to what's on the pitch or who picks the team. The sort out needs to start at the top with the clear out of the deadwood on the board, but it's the new blood that made this appointment so I don't know what to think. The more I think about it the more depressed I get.

Anyway. Hope we get another good win tomorrow as I won't get any enjoyment from seeing Allardyce fail.

This "fan" won't go back until Allardyce and Sammy Lee et al are out of our club. I gave my season ticket away yesterday. And for your information, it is absolutely nothing to do with his "brand of football" and all to do with the type of person our club has chosen to appoint. You might say the best manager money can buy.

Moreover, I have followed our club when things were going much worse than they are now and when our football was much crappier than anything he will do. It is nothing to do with jumping on or off a bandwagon. It is a protest in the only means open to me.
I’m interested. What in particular has he done to make you feel so strongly about him?
