“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Everton manager-elect Sam Allardyce received a muted reception from a small group of fans as he got out of a car at Goodison Park ahead of his confirmation as Ronald Koeman's successor.

Fair to say Allardyce's appointment has sparked a mixed reaction here tonight. He will have to win over doubters but he is no stranger to that in his career.

Wonder how long these “fans” will refuse to watch Everton for before they give up their protests?

Not long if we start winning again.. suddenly they don't go when we're doing badly! Then jump on the bandwagon when its all going well

This "fan" won't go back until Allardyce and Sammy Lee et al are out of our club. I gave my season ticket away yesterday. And for your information, it is absolutely nothing to do with his "brand of football" and all to do with the type of person our club has chosen to appoint. You might say the best manager money can buy.

Moreover, I have followed our club when things were going much worse than they are now and when our football was much crappier than anything he will do. It is nothing to do with jumping on or off a bandwagon. It is a protest in the only means open to me.

Rightly or wrongly most of the doubters will return once he starts getting results that’s just the nature of football these days..I’d be more upset about sammy lee!

Oh now come on Joey! If you remember Mike Walker clearly then you'll remember that nobody will be able to reach the level of stupidity he set. Make Walker wasn't/isn't capable of managing a gang of lads having a kick about in the park without destroying said side.
Lets see he has not been in charge of a game as yet - Mike walker came with a great record in Europe etc - all that soon went out of the window - but lets just see how he does in the up and coming fixtures - Unsys win v West ham has given him a safety valve as such!

I'll be watching every game I can so don't know what you're on about. I'll be sure to give you weekly updates though if you like.

It's your chosen choice in the old days of pay on the day at the turnstyle that's what most fans did - they voted with their feet by staying away, My older brother did that in the bad david moyes years the hoof ball etc - I can't get to the game because of health reasons, Sam would not be my ideal choice its a panic choice imo!
yet if I was healthy I would give him a chance to see how we perform { not holding or expecting too much} , but you never know!
As for Sammy Lee as assistant manager - ex red etc we have had Liverpool players before in the past - Morrissey, Sheedy, Beardsley, and Ablett - we accepted them, and they became favourites, three of them great players.
Lets just say I am upset we have panicked gone for a mercenary in Big Sam - so let's see hey?
18 month contract is a short one so if he fails he will be sacked!

Well said mate. You pretty much mirror my feelings. My mate called me about 15 minutes after the news broke on Wednesday afternoon asking what time he should call round to pick up my ST. Could have chinned him:).

What's really getting to me now are these holier than thou bells, who think it's their divine right to judge the likes of you and I who are prepared to take a stand against an atrocious decision by the club. Everyone reacts differently but we're not passing judgment on those fans that disagree with us, so what gives them the right to think they can judge us. It really is dissing me off.

See you at Wembley in may for the Cup final mate

If people decide to give it a rest for a bit because of his alleged shady dealings then I for one totally respect that decision. You both have a far stronger moral compass than me, I feel it is a slippery slope as we have had players arrested for various misdemeanors in the past, where do you draw the line?

I would only think it wasn't on if people chucked it all in due to the type of football Allardyce plays or due to his character. (the not illegal part...)
