“Fans” that won’t support us if we get Allardyce

Just heard some Kopite troll on Talk Sport going on about how we (he was pretending to be a blue) should go for Rodgers and we can still make the top 4 and they took the bait, was the dumbest troll ive ever heard and they ran with it

Will always support the blues, and have done for longer than most of you have been alive. I have seen managers come and watched them go. I just never thought we would associate ourselves with a crook like fat Sam if I see him come then I pray it won’t be tooo long before I see him go.

Russian ones are ok though?

Everyone is a crook other than the middle classes, who get taxed like ******.

I don’t think I can adapt to it Papa, I have seen too many good times with the Blues. I’ll support him because he is our manager, but that won’t stop me wanting him gone.
In a best case scenario, he saves us from relegation and is then found guilty (retrospectively) of some heinous football crime whilst managing Bolton which leads to him being banned for life and we replace him with a proper manager and all live happily ever after.

Ha fair enough but when were the last good times with us? Been a while...

I honestly didn't see much wrong with what he did outside of him being incredibly naive to get caught.

He is actually a fairy progressive manager and I do think he will do better and will be more expansive with better players (if our players are better is another topic entirely...)

The only thing that concerns me is the divisiveness of it all. Like a few recent deals we have done he is going to have to come out of the gates flying or people will turn on him pretty quickly.

It would be impossible for me to stop being an evertonian after 50 years of it. Doesn't mean that i cannot be gutted and disgusted with them though. They are an absolute shambles from the top and throughout and just when you thought it couldn't get any lower, they even make a complete mess of appointing a new Manager and end up having to go cap in hand and appoint someone with a 34% win rate and a recent record for being sacked for potential corruption.

Will always be a blue nose but an extremely disappointed and disgusted one presently.

Your probably right, he will have to come out of the gates flying, because he is such a detestable human being that only being successful will make him palatable.

There was a guy on the radio that said he'd never watch us again if Big Sam was appointed. When pressed as to why he hated the former England manager so much he said "Well, he plays the long ball a lot, doesn't he?"

Pathetic.

I've got a mate who has supported Everton since he was a kid. he's probably getting on for 65 now. Absolutely loves the club. He's always been single, followed them home and away for about 40 years and must have spent hundreds of thousands supporting them over the years.
Approx 10 years ago he stopped going the game as a protest against Kenwright and his cronies. Hasn't been since, but Everton is in his DNA and he still loves the club more than anybody else I know. Are you saying he is no longer a fan?
Surely he’s saying he’s no longer a fan?!

Yes.....he “guarantees” EPL football.

Until one day he doesn’t.

In short.....nothing in this life is guaranteed :pint2:

Very wise words, however he has practice in getting out of this situation and I'd rather have someone who knows what it takes to do that over someone doing it for the first time.

I know Moysie's star had faded by then but Allardyce was able to keep a Sunderland side up that Moyes couldn't for instance.
