6 quid for prem 18 quid for squad even at 55 for shirt only i think it's expensive, but its comparable with other prem teams unfortunately.

Got me thinking this actually and looking at kitbag.com they supply kits for the following Prem teams

arsenal
villa
chelsea
everton
the****e
city
united
barcodes
qpr
sunderland
spurs

When you choose everton it redirects you to the club store website that charges £50 quid a shirt, Every other prem team listed above retail a short sleeve badgeless home shirt on kitbag for £45 each with the exception of sunderland who retail at £50 same as us.

So i guess not all teams fans are in the same boat as us.........

Its just a rip off plus not buying myself one when they wont even stock women football tops either, Man u are giving thier prem badge free with their shirts at the moment, the women top is £50 with a free badge thrown in and £13 if you want the name. So Man u is 10 cheaper with all the trimming and made for women.

At arsenal the women shirt is 45 with the premier badge for £3

Given that they try to sell the shirts to a GLOBAL market, and the fact that the only place anyone abroad can get one is via kitbag for that exact same price, then I can't imagine they will attract anyone other than those that would buy it anyway i.e. expat Blues.

The kits are used as an earner and not as a way of attracting new support and getting the club exposure, if they were hanging on racks in shops and undercutting other clubs, then your kid that wants a shirt in say San Francisco for his u9's training might just decide that he wants the nice Blue one that his parents are pushing him/her towards.

I wonder what the amount of shirts sold outside of the U.K. is ?
I'll bet that it's paltry in comparison to others, so much so that we could probablynever catch up with some of them, selling more shirts at budget prices giving the same return/profit would be giving the club much more exposure. Umbro dropped them all to about 7 or 8 quid from Xmas in their last season, they shifted massive amounts of them at the time, you could have all 3 shirts for less than the rrp of 1, they wouldn't have made a loss on them and increased the exposure. In a lot of respects the shirt is an advert for the club, so they should want to get the maximum number of them on the streets.

Maybe for our foreign ads we should play on the theme of....

Love Football but don't like Liverpool or Red ?
Then wear the shirt of Everton and mock them like we do.

I would guess that a high proportion of shirts sold in developing countries are fakes. Your average
Joe hardly has the cash to feed his family so he's not going to buy the real deal. I've been to Thailand and other countries in that region a few times, and I only found a proper sports shop selling the real shirt once. Saw tons of fakes. You only see expats or people on holiday wearing the real deal.

The shirt is not expensive to manufacture at all so the mark up must be 100s of % if not 1000s. Definite rip off. Having said all that, I am getting the white 3rd kit!

Our shirt is from a range that Nike sell for £12 in SportsDirect, so a markup of £43 to put a Chang ad on and the Club Badge ? Chang should be paying for their Logo imo if they want the general public to carry it around.
