It'd be good if they could arrange the fixtures so that when the men are away the women are at home. Maybe even time it so you could watch the women at goodison fist then watch the men on the box in a pub near the ground.
That's the one. My mate used to park up that way and we'd pop in as it was easy to get served.
The last time I went was before onr of our stunning defeats to Luton last season.
As we approached I saw a car parked outside missing a wheel, a smashed window on the floor above and it looking in a...
Does anyone remember the bridge (fly house) on Chisenhale Street? Just thinking that would have been a great old pub to break up the walk to BM from town.
I think it is still standing but been closed for ages.
As I didn't have a ticket on Sunday, I visited as many of the old pubs as I could (aware that I may never get the chance again).
Went in the Salutation, Albany, Top House and Spellow.
Impossible to explain why i like thd Salutation so much. It's like a 1970s museum.
A policeman told me they were late opening the turnstiles on Goodison Road. He wasn't very happy about it. This was about 11.15am and he thought the kick off was going to be pushed back.
My mate was in the Thomas Frost for the match and he said that was absolutely packed.
I watched the second half on someone's phone in the Spellow (with about 20 others crowded round the mobile). They did have a big screen but you couldn't get anywhere near it as it was heaving in that part of...
I thought a minimum of 5,000 outside but must have been way more. There was a crowd singing on Goodison Road the entire game, plus all the pubs were packed. Even the Top House stopped letting people in by half time.
That's why it's so special. All those things are almost an extension of the ground.
It's like the very opposite of the sterile nature of the area that surrounds the Etihad or the London stadium.
Sorry if I've missed it, and it's probably impossible to answer, but does anyone know how many of us were locked outside without a ticket.
I'd guess a minimum of 5,000 as even the Top House was rammed with people watching the game on the box there.
A number 10 really should be able to control the ball and pass under pressure. He does that. The lad he replaced doesn't. So... we have questions here.
Blimey, have we actually signed another good player in the same season?
Not sure what shocks me more; our scouting department getting their game together or someone picking a 39-year-old every week over this lad.
I'm really interested to see how Pereira does. A good mate is Brazilian and a massive Flamengo fan. He swears Pereira has as much managerial talent as Mike Walker. Fingers crossed he's right!
