    6 + 2 Point Deductions

He was literally just making the point that they're not going to go "Oh, don't deduct Everton points, their fans find it disagreeable."

    Financial Fair Play investigation

Sorry if this sounds a bit flippant, but can we afford a massive fine? Might be the one year a points deduction (especially if it ends up being less than 12 points, which I suspect will be the case if it's given at all) is actually preferable. Not sure you want it at the start of next season...

I also wouldn't be surprised if they're quite happy to push this big punishment in a particularly weak season, meaning they can be seen as being very firm with us and, assuming we survive, it's all forgotten about.

    Financial Fair Play investigation

Tbf there is massive government on the Premier League to get its house in order. Wouldn't be surprised if we're just the unlucky ones next in line who get made an example of so City and Chelsea know what coming. And given we're beign threatened with a 12 point deduction, God knows what's in...

    Financial Fair Play investigation

I genuinely think there could be at least two teams - but possibly even three - without much more than 30.

    Financial Fair Play investigation

If there's any season you want a points deduction (12 points is a bit steep admittedly), it's this one. Luton and Sheff Utd are as good as down, and I'll be damned if we get less points than both Burnley or Bournemouth with or without a deduction.

Because the "fit and proper persons" test is a bad joke. At this point, two despot states with contemptible human rights issues have passed it. Do they have money? Then pass 'em.

Yeah, the use of the word "Asia" rather than "Middle East" of "Gulf State" seems intentional imo.

    Relegation 2022/23

Oh don't get me wrong, I'm as shitting myself as much as the next person (and you're right to say the final day always throws up weird results), but there's more combinations that see us up than down. Refuse to believe Brighton and Mina's goal against Wolves will be in vain.

    Relegation 2022/23

Just don't really envisage the combination of results that would relegate us happening tbh. The bookies seem to agree. I did check! Even if we lose today (which I think is possible but unlikely) Leicester and Leeds are useless.

    Relegation

We're in a battle, but I don't think there's much chance of us going down. There's a decent enough gap atm and we're significantly better (not saying a lot) than all the teams below us. I know a lot of people don't want to hear it and this isn't me being complacent, but I just don't see it.

    New Everton Manager

The ideal candidate for me is someone young whose never managed in England and who'd see us as the perfect project to grow with. De Zerbi, Julien Stephan, Marco Rose, Diego Martinez. That kind of profile.

    New Everton Manager

True, but he's already had to rebuild Atalanta once before. Their initial breakthrough side had the likes of Franck Kessie, Roberto Gagliardini, Leonardo Spinazzola and Alessandro Bastoni in it. I'm not an expert, but it sounds as if he played a massive a part in that rebuild.

Pipe dream managers like Conte aside, Gasperini is better than any of the others being mentioned for me.
