    Barry Vs Beto

He won’t just cost us points through missed chances. The number of times he loses control and possession, just as we’re moving forward in support, will cost us goals against.

Couple of years ago on a Wales away trip. As others have mentioned, drinking also played a large part of our visit. I did manage to escape ‘tho. Went to the national opera, which is in the city centre. Carmen was on. First time for me, it was a great diversion from the bars. It was also pretty...

Not long since arrived back from Kazakhstan (Wales game) The trip via Istanbul was a killer, probably the best part of 24 hours, door to door. Astana, the new capital, for the game first. Like the deranged love child of Dubai and Canary Wharf. Ok, so you’ve built a tower building, it’s a whacky...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

Went for a work medical, with blood analysis. Your gout must be bad. Never had it mate. It’s coming. Do you drink much ? Nooo, not really. Liar ! Ok, fair cop. A month later, ‘kinhell someone just stuck a red hot poker through my big toe. Naproxen from the quack knocked it on the head pretty...

Thanks, I was hoping for amazing, exotic and full of flavour. But I’m from north Wales, so bland and tasteless won’t be an entirely new culinary experience.

Off to Kazakhstan Sunday. Heading to the capital Astana for the Wales world cup qualifier, next Thursday. Then flying over to the old capital city, Almaty, for a few days. There’s over 1,000 making the trip, so a party will be had, for sure. Just started reading up about what to expect. Horse...

    Summer Transfer Window 2025 Thread

I suspect that Moyes will want to leave a legacy this time round, that surpasses his previous tenure. He will no doubt have in mind, that he doesn’t have the same timescale, fan and owner patience as he had last time. Not least because of Father Time’s ticking clock. I believe that the above...

Ahhhh, yes so they did. Guilty, as charged m’lud. Hopefully the thread Feds are fully engaged maintaining order over in the transfer sector.

To be honest, I did think the same when I posted. Not in keeping with my teenage recollection at all.

1972 Limmie & the Family Cooking. Added bonus, Pan’s People. (For our younger readers, Babs, the rather buxom blonde lady, was the weekly pinnacle of teenage boy’s viewing, back in the day)

As an uninformed guess, because we were skint ? I would assume loads of planned bells and whistles were scrapped, once Uzi’s money got banned. Happens to many projects when money gets tight, under the polite title of Value Engineering. Stripping out any cost possible. Hopefully, the original...

    2025/26 Beto

Sell ! Buy nobody if we can’t afford it. We will struggle trying to play to his alleged “strengths”

Forgetting Beto, who was a skint club’s (losing) gamble. Whoever thought Barry was up for introduction to the Prem, must have been on ‘shrooms. We can’t go into the season with either up front. Otherwise we’re going to be a brilliant watch up to the opposition penalty box, then nothing. We...

We’ve got enough everywhere to have a cracking season, apart from up front. Barry and Beto ain’t going to worry Prem defences.

Jeez, it’s Man Sfield, not Man City. We’ve replaced DCL with 2 equally goal allergic strikers. Dibling, Garner and Myko can do the biz and supply, but the movement, anticipation and control from our forwards, is woeful.

Pedestrian, when we should be tearing them a new one. Don’t agree with the Barry shouts, way off a Prem level striker for me. McNeill, taxi !

Millenium stadium Cardiff has the same. Still sends me doolally every time I see it. A dispute between the WRU and Cardiff Rugby Club, based right next door, prevented a symmetrical build for the north stand.

When we got back to Lisbon airport, it was knock you out hot. We’ve been to the Algarve many times, not a patch on this area. Proper Portugal, with super friendly people. Seven of us went out for an evening meal. Starters, main and 2 beers each. €75 total. That’s happy days.

Just home from Sao Marthino do Porto. Brilliant spot. Amazing beach for the kids, plenty of genuinely Portugese eating houses and bars for the olds. I eventually joined the others in being a chilled out surfing dude ! Not a single mozzie bite amongst 7 of us was a bonus. Probably due to the...
