    News of Ex Players

Jagilelka was a classy defender and one of our better players in the last twenty years. I agree that he should have a testimonial. That goal against the Reds is still one of my favourite moments since the cup win in ‘95.

    Bill Kenwright

He just refuses to crawl away despite the protests against him, There may need to be more, so they can see that we don’t want him. Otherwise he’ll just be telling them that he’s the greatest living Evertonian and has the savvy knowledge of the transfer market, and persuading them that he’s...

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

But Howe’s Bournemouth side actually played some nice football at times. I might be wrong, but I’m sure I e heard that he was a boyhood Evertonian too, so he’d have been proud to manage us. Not sure we ended up with a manager with a fancy name anyway. I hope Dyche works out, but my gut feeling...

    2023/24 Sean Dyche

Potter did an excellent job at Brighton though. Yes, Chelsea sacked him…but they’ve also sacked Ancelotti and Mourinho previously. Being sacked by Chelsea doesn’t mean you’re a bad manager.

    Relegation 23/24 Thread

We never replaced Lukaku. We let Rodriguez go. We lost Sigurdsson. We didn’t sign Coady for a nominal fee. A team that has no goals in it, signs no striker to replace a top class one that left years ago, let’s go of the only two creative midfielders it’s had in years, and doesn’t strengthen its...

Nope, not at all mate. But considering that we actually look worse than we did last season, I fully expect utter desperation from Moshiri or those he brings in as investors, and who will do anything to avoid relegation and the financial meltdown that could cause. I definitely don’t want...

    Summer transfer window 2023

We should pay the wages and try to bring Lukaku back in. In fact get rid of all the dead wood and bring Lukaku and Rodriguez back in. Both could be free transfers and at least would guarantee us some goals by not involving any of the other nine outfield players.

Can we start a poll: Allardyce in before Christmas Or Allardyce in after Christmas What will our wonderful Board do…?

That’s the problem…if he looked better than half our team that means that half our team look better than Patterson , but they’re all rubbish.

I doubt it matters mate. Teams will look forward to playing us just to get their own seasons back on track.

    2023/24 Michael Keane

And to think that plenty on here were against signing Coady for a pittance. We’d be better with Keane off and ten men on the pitch.

    Honorary title for W.Kenwright…

He’s already earned himself a title for life so he can keep that and doesn’t need to be awarded an honorary title. Bill Kenwright: Worst Chairman Ever.

    2022/23 Demarai Gray

Ha, you beat me to it my friend..my reply to Mike’s post referred to Kanchelskis, who I was definitely a fan of. But Kanchelskis played in a side with strikers on the pitch, and that gives defenders something else to think about and therefore allows openings for wingers. I do however wish we...

    2022/23 Demarai Gray

But that’s the point I’m making…no one is going to have lots of assists if there’s no striker ahead of them and no one in the box to supply to. I also agree that wingers score goals, but usually when there is a target man to distract defenders. You could put Kanchelskis in this team and he...

    2022/23 Demarai Gray

That’s conjecture though. How many points did we drop because of Gray? We dropped points because we had no decent out and out striker for most of the season, and teams pressed us knowing that we didn’t score goals. Gray is a winger, and wingers don’t often win games without someone to create...

    Squad Overhaul - Limited Budget

In truth that defence will leak goals, and I don’t see any new striker so that we actually have someone to score the odd goal when DCL pulls his hamstring or does his ACL whilst washing his hair during pre-season. A striker has to be the priority over any other positions. If opponents don’t...

    The club's new motto

How about: “Forever spending the Arteta Money”. Or, considering the appalling state of our finances and likely lack of transfer funds, we resort to the old Moyes tagline: “Everton - Always bringing knives to gunfights”.

    The rebuild

The old lady is past her best, no doubt about that. But without the noise that only Goodison can make, and the unique atmosphere that can make the hairs on the back of your neck stand up…would we have survived?

    The rebuild

It is certainly a possibility lol I suspect that Bill K won’t be getting many other clubs asking him for advice because they think Everton are such a well run club.

    Summer transfer window 2023

I’d sign Coady on a two or three year deal. Better than Keane or Holgate and puts himself on the line. Works well with Tarky too and they look comfortable together. I’d also have the Coventry striker Gyokeres as we can’t rely on DCL to score even if he gets fit again. Need goals from a forward...
