    Groucho's Fact Hunt

This full story has been covered on this forum somewhere. The Hitlers son joined the US army later in life, fighting against his infamous uncle. Wisely he changed his surname.

    Groucho's Fact Hunt

He was a great stooge/foil in those fims. Always loved the one where he was trying to stop his daughter from eloping so he locked her in the bedroom, and then promptly tripped over the carpet cleaner and dived, head first, down the stairs.

Wonder how many of these flag painting people called in for a kebab on the way home from saving ‘are kids’? Or had a curry after a few pints in the Irish bar, and are right now sat in the Turkish barbershop? Irony is totally lost on them.

    Near Death Experiences

when I was maybe 10 me and my dad were boarding out the attic. He went down the ladder and left me to it, and I promptly drove a screw through the board and straight through the main electric wire. Massive blue flash and the house plunged into darkness. This was before ELCB’s were standard in...

    We are blessed

English/British people are generally quite fond of Germans. We like your beer and domestic appliances but we’ll never admit it.

Everton 0-3 Bournemouth. Sat July 26th. 9 Pm.

Think we totally need to admit that he’s a very poor player. So one footed it’s ridiculous, no pace, no vision, no anticipation or positioning. He’s what we should be avoiding in a player, a cheap option from the days of mismanagement from the people in charge.

    The Dead Thread

Sad to hear this. I grew up in sunny St Helens and Ray was a very respected rugby league and union man, as well as a teacher at Cowley High. Had a few very hazy nights out in the town with some friends of friends that included his son, Gary, also an ex union pro.

New Everton Owners: The Friedkin Group

Just as an aside to the Friedkins, but does Lord Grantchester still hold a stake in the club? I only ask as on the Register of interests for MP's and Lords it states that he does, although this may be out of date.

Biggest existential threats to all humanity?

This. People seem to worry about wars and the rise of AI, and rightly so, but if the bees go they'll take us with them, and that's a very likely scenario.

    Art

One of my favourite paintings. I’ve had a copy, obviously, on my wall, in various houses For about 27 years. Me and the Mrs went to the Van Gogh exhibition in London which was really interesting. Apparently he was colourblind which is why he painted with such vivid colours.

    Things that never happened.

Apparently true. Mr Cave himself has wrote about it in the red hand files. He allegedly had a long conversation with some guy in a bar in America who thought he was Cage and he went along with it as the guy was totally at rock bottom and had lost everything, so he signed an autograph as Cage and...
