And here is me thinking you were quite bright on the togger front.....

You think that a 25 year old whom really hasn't fulfilled his potential from when he played for England and when we offered 12 million for him from Birmingham before he went to Leicester isn't a good deal, on less then half the wages that Bernard (he is replacing on the bench, who contributed nothing) wouldn't be a good option from the bench with defenders with tired legs?

Have a look at the Manchester City reserve keeper, would you sign him?

Andros Townsend, no way a fan but he has something to prove, 2 year contract on a free option from the bench that we didn't have last year (reminder on the bench with the supposed world class manager 4 kids 2 goalkeepers and Iwobi

None of these guys are first teamers, they are rotation players

Come out of that cloud you are living in, things have changed....

So, to confirm:

"Its ok to sign these 3 players as theyre rotation players"

"FFP issues mean we need to sell players"

"We dont have enough players so need to sign lower quality players"

Our first team squad consists of 30 players (not including u23s). 18 players can be selected in the matchday squad.

We can move on 12 players and have enough to fill the matchday squad.

That should be the focus now and signing 2 or 3 players of quality. Certainly not signing more deadwood.

This is just common sense. You dont add deadwood to an already bloated squad.

Begovic and Townsend would be ok for a season -- we shouldnt have given Townsend a 2 year deal. Gray on a 3 year contract is rewarding failure.

FFS!

Yes because they will add more than other 'squad" members who contributed nothing whatsoever for year...….

Was going reply to each point but cant be arsed, we needed pace to be added, we had nothing on the bench, so job done, if we had that in our 30 squad players, why didn't we use them except we used 2 keepers, 4 youth and Iwobi

You just don't seem to get that at the present time we are restricted money wise, we need to sell or gain further investment

Look at the squad numbers = 30 players.

You can type as much as you want, be patronising and try to sound insightful...

...the first team squad is 30 players deep and Onyango + others will add to that.

We can register 23 players i think for the league and use 18 for a matchday squad.

The way to improve is to move out lots of players and bring in 2-3 of high quaility.

Move on 12 players, bring in 3 good players and we have 21 players + kids.

Out - Kenny, Delph, Tosun, Gomes, Kean?

A couple of youth players out on loan to gain experience too. Gordon, Virginia, Branthwaite, Simms.

Keane sold and promote Branthwaite.

If we signed him he'd be our 3rd best central midfielder after Allan and Doucoure

Whether thats true or not, we should be buying players which are better than what we have.

Spending £25mil on a player to be 3rd choice isnt a good plan unless theyre young with high potential.

Winks isnt either.
