2020/21 James Rodriguez

As much as I love Kanchelskis (and I do - he’s one of my 3 favourite Everton players in my memory), I don’t think he was of the level of sheer quality and ability that Rodriguez is. Nowhere near the same standing in the world game either.

He certainly didn’t have the standing James did in the game. But he was world class. In the 2 years with us there wasn’t a better attacking right midfielder/inside forward in world football.

I was thinking this during the game.

We have the hard worker's around him now and as well as his own magic he frees up our other dangerous player's. We haven't struggled to make goal scoring opportunities in our first two league games.
