The refs backflick to send Ndiaye away for Barry's goal was sublime. Does it count as an assist?

I was at the match so didn't see any VAR issues. Ref seemed to be card shy - certain bookings for Cucurella ignored etc. Ndaiye should probably have had a pen. Ref seemed to be going through the motions. 4/10

I agree, though would the Saliba 'foul' have been given if it was Tarks in the other box, probably.I don’t think either of the challenges were enough for a pen.

And imo that's where the problem lies.
The challenge on Barry is given as a foul all the time. Saliba missed the ball and kicked right through his foot.I don’t think either of the challenges were enough for a pen.
I'm sure we had one given against us in the not-too-distant past. My memory is shocking so could be misremembering. The challenge on Barry is given as a foul all the time. Saliba missed the ball and kicked right through his foot.
