Learned who she is since Sunday have you pal?

I don't think she got "a lot of stuff wrong this summer" - I think she put out what she got from the club/what the club wanted putting out;

That was true at the time it was shared.

Esk was a great mod, you perhaps wouldn't know - you joined 5+ years after that.

This was like A Hinchcliffe corner to Ferguson, beautiful.

i don’t get that there have been multiple threads on here in the last week about her.

How many threads have there been about any other match announcer we have ever had or any local journalist?

Screams to me as a few who think football should be for men and women can’t have any say or involvement.

If we are the people’s club that should include everyone no matter the gender, race, religion, orientation or any other label someone might want to use these days.

Perhaps if we worried less about these things and more about supporting the team, the ground wouldn’t be silent for large parts of the match…

….seems to me that most posters are very much in favour of the job she’s doing as stadium announcer.

Get what you're saying but if felt like we had about 20 with "Rossy" coming back. Had to merge a couple/remove some.

Sarah Halpin - and I disagree. She's done a lot of good stuff for the club over the last few years, particularly on the women's side. As enthusiastic as any Evertonian about.
That might be the so, but she’s a tremendously big wool and her accent is like nails on a chalkboard. I know this will be divisive and I’ll get pelters but I’d rather someone who acts as a “face” of the club to have more rooted authenticity. Not sure a big horrible Wigan accent screams Everton - to be honest.

….never noticed her accent, anyway the fact she’s from Wigan is of no consequence.

Good on her for overcoming illness and forging a career for herself, we need more woman as the face of football. I actually think some of the TV pundits are better than the men, Izzy Christiansen and Sue Smith excellent with Everton links.
