It didn’t take much for the Moyes haters to appear, they must be made up we lost. No doubt it’s the same ones who prayed we’d get relegated to prove they were right back then too.
Anyone who thinks we should be getting rid now needs to have a word with themselves.

No. I'm annoyed we lost due to the the idiot thinking he's clever. Nobody wanted the club relegated.

I am made up that more people seem to be getting over the Kenwright gaslighting and demanding more from the club.

You just sit there in plucky Everton land and reminisce about all the Good Times ™

I for one will forgive our Daddy that one mistake with team selection against Wolves.
I wouldn't be surprised if he's absolutely fuming, or shocked, or negatively surprised to realise they are perhaps not that good even for cover, or some of them.
He'll know he's made an almighty balls up and totally misread the moody blues.

True.

Although if we lose, some blert will accuse other posters of wanting Everton to lose so they can say they were right. Which is, and always has been, bollox. Except maybe for one complicated poster.

It took a little longer than I thought but here it is. No Evertonian, not a single one, is made up we lost. In fact, the Moyes fanboys are the ones who apparently don't care that we're out of the cup.

Did a fantastic job stabilising us in his first tenure, but ultimately his limitations were there to see. ManU did us a favour!

I never wanted him back & could never understand the calls for him. He’s a flat track bully. Not a tactician, can’t adapt. More capable than likes of Dyche, but less than Allardyce (I know some on here will never accept that).

Did an incredible job last season, no question, but the limitations are still there.

Change is always a gamble & we’ve suffered badly for it. I think Moyes will give us 10th-12th place. 8th at very best, 14th at worst & in reality, that’s progress. Be interesting to see if that’s enough for TFG.

Me personally, if we could get that Iraola, I’d bin the dithering get tomorrow!

He's got until the end of the season for me.

However in that time he's got to;
1. Continue playing some decent football
2. Get us to at least 10th placed finish
3. Give us a good cup run.

Subject to those 3 criteria I'd decide whether he sees out the final year of his contract.

I continue to be frustrated by his unwillingness to introduce progressive full backs which I think could transform this team.

He'll get the season because TFG won't want to rock the boat whilst there's some form of stability

But boy did he read the room wrong on Tuesday and is rightly getting called out on it and I hope it bloody stings.

Everton shouldn't be a free pass for any manager to think they can take the piss and throw cup competitions away.
I think Everton is a very different proposition since his last stint and he’s maybe underestimated that.
His relative “success” last time and the tempered hope that he left behind is long gone, patience is shorter, and we’ve had a raised (if not met) level of expectation since Mosh arrived due to the money spent.

Now there’s a greater air of professionalism at ownership level, and money getting thrown around again - albeit not currently at top 6 levels, but the expectation is raised again imho.

Let’s see if he rises to it or tries to dampen it, not in his words but his actions, performances and results.
