2025/26 Iliman Ndiaye

Only complaint I have is not releasing the ball when he’s double and triple teamed. Sometimes the right thing to do is get out of it. But remember there are players uncovered, too.

I really think he’s our best player still. The production is there. The all around game is there. He’s a constant threat. And he’s basically doing it without support. O’Brien tries and is a great player to have in the team, maybe even a great CB, but as a RB he’s carrying zero threat and you can tell opponents know it. Ndiaye having this impact still is a real testament to who he is. Composure to tee up Gana is just excellent high level stuff.

Brilliant player. Needs to go to school on Jack Grealish's ability to take a foul when the roadblock is approaching. Illi is almost too good a dribbler, so he fancies beating the fourth, fifth, sixth tackle instead of just taking the contact from the third and winning us the free kick.

He's also flagging in the last quarter of games so would like to see Dibling getting 20-25 minutes rather than 5-10 (or nothing). But when he's at full pace he's a truly unique player whose best is still ahead of him.

I understand that if you have Grealish, that you kind of have to play him in best position on the left. But as a result we aren't getting the best out of Ndiaye on the right, despite his best efforts. Play him as a 10 or as a false 9.

TBH I thought Grealish best position is 10.

But Moyes has different ideas who knows.

Didn't know if he would be able to turn inside as effectively as he dis from the left wing, but he did it several times under pressure yesterday. A remarkable skill to be able to go both ways that sharply. The kind of player that can make you look very very silly

I thought N'Diaye played really well. Fair play to him and Grealish who are in very good form without any support from their full backs. That's a big ask for anyone in this league when you're often being marked by two.

I want to see him at cf in the next few games with dibling on the right and grealish on the left...of course we would need to then play through midfield a lot more (not the constant long hopeless ball from pickford), but it would be an interesting experiment to get the best out of our players.
