2025/26 Thierno Barry

Could be mate, but you have to put the flag in the ground at some point and call it ground zero.

We are co-ordinating two things one rebuilding the playing squad and two the investment profile of the squad worth.

In order to make future revenue to make incremental changes we need to develop players then harvest that talent, to give lifeblood back to the club as a whole and take the next incremental step.

Its that decision of whether to go for someone like Rohl or Soucek or heaven forbid Soucek.

If the project is signing young players, develop and harvest them - then that's the project - the club is going t need three years of recovery in my opinion, that not just on the pitch i also mean off it.

Im not giving up on the filed goals either, i think we should be competitive for Europe this season.

It would have looked a much better signing on paper if we’d brought in the 10 goal guaranteed 32+ year old clogger on a short contract just to bridge the gap, particularly when Beto is misfiring.

Will still be fine. The lad will be expecting to play. He has played plenty before coming here. Just needs to bang a couple in in the cup and then get a few deserved starts in a row. Sink or swim. Every game for every player should be sink or swim, and we are starting to piece together a squad where we can apply that, rather than picking Dom every week because there is no one else.

In an ideal world yes,but our squad is so thin,I mean who'd have thought we could be going into the Derby at the pit with possibly a right footed midfielder playing left back. This season should have been one of consolidation, spending money on youngsters with potential rather than experienced players at cheaper prices might just bite us in the arse.

Yoane Wissa scored 15 goals once in his career, is 29, and cost 55 million.

We're in no position to sign a proven PL striker given our lack of numbers in the summer.

struggling to get inspired by him but he starts for france u21s which is essentially the best production line of talent in the past 12 or so years in world football

hopefully he will come good but a statement striker next summer is my wish

Maybe wait until we've played 10 games. Beto at the moment is our best option,if he gets injured then who? Barry leading the line with no Prem experience ? Hardly the recipe for a comfortable mid table season.
Would absolutely love to know which good, established strikers with Prem experience would have a) cost 27m and b) come here to be backup to Beto. Our scouting department would like to know too actually.

Don't think I mentioned a proven Prem striker. Maybe one from the Championship who could actually hold the ball up and direct a header to a team mate would have been the prudent move?

How many goals did Beto score last year?

There are several examples of Barry doing that, including a few goals.

I must have missed when the Championship became a better league than La flippin Liga, did that happen recently?

How did you do, In my dreams I score a hat trick for Everton v Liverpool every night, always at Anfield with my last goal the winner and it comes in the last minute of the game in the Kop end!
We were winning about 7-0. I was trying to get on the pitch but Barry couldn't hear his number being called and couldn't find my way on. I did once dream about Kevin mirallas scoring at white hart lane the night before we played them. I remember telling the guy next to me before the game how he scored and he thought I was a drunken loon. Then he scored exactly as I described it. 😂

If moyes actually chose Rohl over Soucek, rather than the possibility that West ham weren't selling, then that is a positive straight away..
It's easy to go with what you know, but if he's looking at the broader picture than I'm liking it..
