6 + 2 Point Deductions

Yeah, I'm with you. I get the premise of their claim, and see why a KC may say "go ahead", but I dont think a decent defence loses this one if given the time and supplies. The only question for me is, can TFG be arsed with it. It may not even be them paying any fine, it could be covered by money in Escrow from the sale. The settlement effectively covered by just not paying Moshiri as much. If that was me I'd juts pay them off, forget about it all and get on with my life. Let others fight it out in future. If we settle, then no precedence is set, the date has passed for anybody else to raise a claim, this isnt a test case in a group litigation. Let others take a chance suing other clubs, let them take the arguments and costs. Lets just draw a line under it for an undisclosed amount.
Yeah, totally agree.

I would say they can be arsed with it based on that we have been working with a lawyer on it for the last 6 months.

Might not be about cash flow, might hit our PSR bottom line - we might need to come up with £50 mill from somewhere

That said I think Burnley are really misadviced taking this on.

Didn't the league rule that City's legal costs would not impact their PSR position?

Whilst we're at it, can we sue Chelsea for the Martinez 72 point season? Oh, and can we sue the league for giving us illegal advice on the Iceland thing? 'Your loss' they said. Should have just terminated his contract. Yeah, and he'd have sued us, we'd have had to pay him in full, as well as our own and his legal expenses. Ultimately ending up even worse off. They said it was our fault for not sacking him though and paying him what we were legally obliged to. No mitigation at all they said.

If Player X had been afforded the same treatment as Thomas Partey and remained a member of the playing staff we would have been nowhere relegation or we would have sold him in the last year of the contract thus mitigating his circa £10m cost on the books.
