New Everton Stadium - Hill Dickinson Stadium

The roof structure is quite complicated and modifying it would be no easy task. Particularly the North/South stands as it is carried by the full span trusses (2 north, 3 south) which were assembled on the ground, craned into place, and then temporarily supported.

The East and West stands are supported by cantilever trusses and would, in theory, be easier to modify.

If there was going to be any expansion of the stadium capacity, then i think the East stand would be the place to do it, but it would not be cheap and it would compromise the whole aesthetic of the roof.

Yeah if its just one stand expanded (East for example) then it affects the aesthetics of the roof compared to the other stands and if East, West and South are expanded then they likely need to completely remodel the whole roof and support structure which I imagine would be enormously expensive, especially for the "cheap" seats. It's why I think any increase of this scale would require additional boxes/corporate spaces to make it profitable - and even then it would require a strong business case/demand.

Interesting info below, it’s the match day yield per fan per match (avg ticket and concessions spend).

It’ll be interesting to see how much ours increases after a season at HDS.

How were we only be £22?! I assume that doesn't include the price of the ticket? Surely even the cheapest season tickets were more that and the more expensive tickets would push the average up in any case.

I'm sure this has been asked previously but has anyone had any hassle bringing small bags/backpacks into the ground?
I'm having to stay over at a mates house the night before the palace game due to train issues.
I'll have to bring a small bag.

I know what they’ve said about only allowing A4 size bags, but for both the Brighton and Villa games I’ve seen several people with pretty large backpacks 🤷‍♂️
