Non League Football

Congrats on the win.

The one thing with Maghull, conceded but also score. If they're not scoring they can get a bit unstuck.

Learning curve i think, and a bit of a reality check. But im sure Joey will be delighted with the start.

Maghull actually went 1-0 up and Thornton missed loads of chances. Was starting to think it could be one of those days then the first half ended 2-1 to Thornton after 2 excellent goals, the 2nd by Luke Noble who bagged 4 yesterday.

This is me in the middle, never one to miss a plug and media opportunity 😊

Give us a discount on a good Guerneying?

Didn’t go this weekend due to being at the blues, but my team Thornton Cleveleys were thumped 3-0 away at Maine Road in Manchester.

2 home fixtures to come on the bounce now to try and get back on track.

Haven't added to this for a while, been here there and everywhere.

Newcastle Blue Star 0-2 Marine
Att: 404

Marine into next round of cup with a 2-0 win against 9th tier opposition. Newcastle playing same time at home shaved hundreds off gate.

Two second half goals, and into the draw at 1pm where another away tie awaits (8 straight away draws in the FA Cup & Trophy).

Big win after 4 straight losses.

Went to Prescot Cables v Warrington Town last night. We’ve really struggled this season trying to gel 15 or so new players. Last night we salvaged a deserved 1-1 draw with a late equalizer.
Things are looking up.
Peter Clarke still going strong for Cables at 43
So did I, I thought Cables were poor and you played well in the second half, definitely deserved a point.

Where do Thornton Cleveleys play? They didn’t exist when I lived up there late 80’s

They were called ICI Thornton in 1980, they had 3 teams and the first team played in the West Lancashire League, the other 2 teams played in the Blackpool and Fylde Combination until the reserves went into the West Lancashire reserve league.

They then changed to Thornton International round about 1984 mate.

Play at Gamble Road, opposite where the Burn Naze pub used to be.
