Not really sure on what reference that has to do with my post, tho I might just be misreading it...In fairness he wasn't getting sold because he'd performed poorly; on the contrary in fact!

He is one player, we could have gone for someone like Mikautadze from Lyon who is smaller but offers something totally different and would have given us a plan b, instead we just take the easy route and go for a Beto clone.Don't like lanky strikers then, you must have loved Neil Maupay, can I stick with lanky ?
Poor scouting, you could championship strikers much better than Beto and Barry for that price. You can tell in a game or two if a strike has the attributes, ours don’t.As Moyes said...we did not have the money to spend 100M on a striker so we invested for the future.
He'll score on Saturday but we'll still lose. He'll be more confident in our next match though.
Possibly, but without knowing him personally I cant answer that.Perversely, it should make it easier/more likely for him to settle. For young lads moving away from home for the first time it can take a while to even get used to not having their family and friends around them all the time, or their favourite restaurants etc, he's obviously well used to that and adapting to new environments so he's in a better position than most.
Of course most players need to settle into a new teams shape, tactics etc etc. But I do think it’s about experience not age. I would treat him a little more harshly in terms of needing time to settle. He’s played proper football in 5 countries now, and indeed scored regularly in all of them. And a youth international. Yes it’s the super scary PL, but he is vastly experienced in moving to new teams and countries and performing well.Young players need time to bed in, get up to speed and will have bad games as they do.
Alcaraz and Rohl will get that. The fact Barry is being looked at differently is because his alternative is nowhere near the level required, of the other two's.
If we had a competent striker, then he would be able to be bedded in slowly. He's being judged harshly because we don't.
What so Neal Maupay is the only alternative to lanky gets who can't control a football?Don't like lanky strikers then, you must have loved Neil Maupay, can I stick with lanky ?
You guys just love moaning hey.Poor scouting, you could championship strikers much better than Beto and Barry for that price. You can tell in a game or two if a strike has the attributes, ours don’t.
Who are these much better championship strikers? Always hear the same crowd go on about them but don’t watch enough to know who they meanPoor scouting, you could championship strikers much better than Beto and Barry for that price. Yes and no. You’d expect anyone coming in for the money he did to at worst show he can do the basics really well and then flash something on top of that. I think what people are reacting to is the awkwardness and not showing he’s at least really good at the basics you want from a number 9 yet. Still too early to write anyone off but I’d have expected to see more than what we have. Some very strange takes in here. It's way too early to have formed any sort of idea at this point, we've only seen him 2/3 times!
I think that's really harsh and in some ways just plain wrong. I think it's fair to say that he doesn't exactly look like a worldbeater at the moment but if you were expecting that from him you weren't really living in the real world. I think he's shown some good touches, nice passes, and good awareness of space, I don't think he's looked hugely dangerous or dynamic in his games so far but it's the middle of September ffs. If we're having the same conversation after he's played another 5 or 6 games then there'll be a bit more merit to it but at this point it's just embarrassing to be writing him off.Yes and no. Which ones? Joe Piroe?Poor scouting, you could championship strikers much better than Beto and Barry for that price. You can tell in a game or two if a strike has the attributes, ours don’t.
