Smoking forty cigarettes a day helped ,great player and striker .When i was a kid there was a rumour going around he smoked in the shower what a role model he was.
….all you need to know about Roy Vernon is 101 goals in 176 games. In any era that’s a phenomenal return, I suggest the best of any Everton player. He’s got to be an all time great.
