Who would you rather start?

Both have obvious faults but I’d have to choose Beto. Not been yimpressed with Barry so far , lacks aggression and drive and doesn’t look like a striker or that he will score. I watched him in the Roma game have a sort of scuffed shot from outside the box where he hit the top half of the ball in an awkward side foot shot that reminded me of my 7 yr old daughter in her football practise 🥲

I think some peoples memories of the last anfield derby are a bit different to mine. Beto caused them some problems in the first half by being a bit unorthodox and them not quite knowing how to play him but they pocketed him in the second half and his inability to keep hold of the ball was a massive problem for us.
Was so disappointed with that second half performance, almost like we gave up trying.

Yeah Beto will relish getting stuck into St. Virge again and Baz still has to find his feet - start him in the cups for now as someone else said, his time will come inshallah.

Like many it seems, not seeing much in Barry much like Chermiti before him. But he is young and not writing him off of course but he really needs to start putting some effort in because he does not appear to have amazing technical skills to rely on that would maybe let him get away with not putting himself about.

People see different things, I listened to a podcast who actually praised Barry for his movement off the ball saying it was fantastic and I’ve heard a lot of other fans say the same
The argument for sticking with Beto seems to be he gets stuck in and gives CB’s a tough time from a physical point of view.

I also think we have watched some terrible strikers over the last 15yrs bar Lukaku. That a lot of our fans are obsessed with a guy who tries and is big and strong.

Also some of our fans giving Barry stick need to realise how shocking Beto was when he first joined in his first few months. And even though he’s improved he’s still
Miles away from what we need, Barry may not be the answer long term, but Beto certainly isn’t

Both, neither, one or the other ... whoever is up front needs to be not isolated in this match and be involved a lot. The rs are gettable right now - a few mobile players driving at them will make them wobble.

So I'm more interested in seeing the likes of Ndiaye, Alcaraz, Dibbling and Grealish getting deployed to run at them with whoever the striker is, pulling the central defence around a bit to make openings.
